Following the news earlier today that Ian Watson has signed a new 3 year deal - Ben Murdoch-Masila, Weller Hauraki, Junior Sa'u and Lama Tasi have also signed new contracts.
Fantastic news coming out of the club right now.

Front row plus JJ and Flanagan would give us fantastic stability going forward

Really great news and fully deserved for all involved. Weller really picked his game up at the back end of last season and BMM and Junior have that little bit of "X-factor" we're going to need if we're to gatecrash that top 8. Still think BMM isn't 100% fit but he showed how destructive he can be on Sunday.
Superb work this by the club and shows that we seem to have some real direction under Watto and a clear vision of where we want to be. Let's celebrate by smashing Widnes tomorrow night!

Does anyone know the extension length for Junior & Weller btw? Seems strange BMM's is announced as 3 years but no specifics on the other 2. Assuming they might only be 1 year extensions if current deals expire at the end of this season?

Again evidence of a commitment to the club: compared to past years when (to be honest) we had some players here for the money or berth, there seems to be an association in the squad we should be proud of.

Junior is reported long-term so theoretically more than a year.

All brilliant, didn't think Weller would be retained (does anyone know if he is quota or not?)but this level of stability can only be a good thing.
No info or insider knowledge but do suspect that Evalds is off, seems to have stalled terribly since we brought in GOD, unless there are some serious injury issues can only see him being a bit part player until the end of the season.
Would love the club to now scour the lower leagues and look for some young British talent along the lines of Brining.
Would be very surprised if Watson doesn't get involved in the World Cup in some capacity, possibly with Wales being an ex captain but can't think of anyone better qualified as a young English coach to help our with England.

Great work by the club and just goes to show how much the ethos has changed and players wanting to be at the club long term, well done all round.
I'd only tweeted Bleasey yesterday asking him if there was any update on contracts, I think getting this guy in as CEO with his knowledge of the game as a player and agent, also with such close ties to club may have been a master stroke.
Dare I say it could he be our Hetherington?
Also good to see the Doc letting the Ian's get on with it and run the club how it should be run, with these long term deals has the doc calmed down and decided his long term future with the club?

BMM and Sau were musts. Tasi is a bit of a liability but I guess we can have him for another year. Hau raki is a surprise as he's already 32. Only makes sense if he isn't classed as an overseas player otherwise it seems to be a waste of a quota space.
Hope this contract signing won't signal a collapse in form like what happened to Widnes last year.

Sau has said 3 years on social media! Junior is for me the consummate professional rugby league player. Often think we should try and get his Brother Tommy to come over if he's anything (and reports say he is) like his big Bro.

Was surprised with Weller as he came close to retirement last year.Is this the first time we've had players/coach extend their contract under Marwan. Good news though and im hoping Koppie Flash and Dobbo get long contracts as well.
