Squad for Hunslet, how good is it to see someone of Hauraki's quality coming back, does though offer a selection headache going forward as think the back row has played extremely well, gutted that there's still no Vidot yet, would have been an ideal game to blood him in.

I think I'd be tempted to leave Joseph out to give all of the younger lads a run out but if they want another prop then I'd leave Jordan Walne out and move Sarsfield off the bench. I'd be tempted to have Josh Wood at 7 with Lui and see if Wood can do more of an organising role than he could when he played alongside Dobson but worried whether it would disrupt the team too much. We shouldn't take his game too lightly, we should win comfortably but playing our virtual 2nd team could be too big a gamble. This should give us enough strength to do it I reckon Gareth O’Brien Josh Griffin Jake Bibby Junior Sa’u Niall Evalds Rob Lui Michael Dobson/Josh Wood Olsi Krasniqi Logan Tomkins Adam Walne Ryan Lannon BMM Jordan Walne Matt Wilkinson Weller Hauraki Matt Haggerty Matt Sarsfield

I'd have Wilkinson on from the start to see what he can do, play Krasniqi at loose and give Evalds a full run out at the back. For me Krasniqi has the makings of a quality loose, good hands, quite quick for his size and pretty decent tackler, for me one who will blossom when he gets just a little older.

I've just seen the Hull KR - Oldham result. I now think we should play our strongest possible 13!

I've just seen the Hull KR - Oldham result. I now think we should play our strongest possible 13! I think the difference between us and HKR is that our mentality and settled nature away from the field should keep us focused on the win, whereas HKR are all over the shop behind the scenes and it's leaking into their performances. Salford of old would be a different proposition but this Salford side is totally different in their ability and mentality. I can't see us messing this one up, even with resting a number of players.

Wow what a result for Oldham. I hope the team certainly take a look at that result and realise that tomorrow won't be a walk in the park. We should win comfortably but this is Salford we're talking about! EDIT: Just seen Leigh got beat by Toulouse too...

I think you're right Carnster but the Salford fan in me worries about it It's a great result for Oldham with lots of ex-Salford players and really good for the challenge cup Pleased with the Toulouse resilt too

Couldn't put into words how happy I am that Leigh got beaten or how good it is to see a team like Oldham progress, would be good if we drew them at home in the next round. It's exciting when you think that there is a 2nd high quality team coming from France and he mooted Canadian team also.

If Toulouse do make it to Super League, I hope they contribute more to French RL than Catalans have done. Don't get me wrong it's great to see a French team doing so well but not so great to see them doing it with a squad packed full of non-French players.
Anyway performance at Hunslet yesterday was very average. Did what we needed to I suppose but cant imagine Watto will be to happy. Never got beyond second gear and switched off in defence to allow them to score some very soft tries.
Josh Wood MOM for me.

I suppose it will be a positive that a few fringe players got a chance to have a run out, and give Hauraki a less intensive first run out for the season. Probably more important that we didn't pick up any needless injuries and did enough for the next round. I agree with you, jgr, with regards to Catalans. It's great that they are doing well and are growing a strong fan base, but they need to start bringing through more local talent in key positions for everyone to truly say they have been a success.
