OT how come the members ratings have changed from players to stars? I accidentally removed the ratings and couldn't remember the correct order to put them back. Sorry! Perhaps it's a good reason to chop/change the ranking system? Wasn't having a go, it was just an observation!

I think the key to beating Wakefield is discipline, get on the wrong side of the ref and they'll walk all over us.
Complete our sets, play in their half and above all don't keep kicking the ball to MCB as he'll have a point to prove and we don't have anyone with anything like his pace.

We as Salford fans rarely go into a game confident as the next slap in the face is only 80 minutes away however i feel the tide is turning and IW really does have them playing for one another. Put the shoe on the other foot they won't fancy an upbeat "inform" Salford side coming to town, and i feel the next defeat won't be Sunday.

How many penalties FFS?! Either our discipline is awful or Hicks is bent as ****. We've got no chance if it continues like this.

You win some you lose some, but that was a piss poor performance off the back of a strong win last week. With 10 to go winning by 10 and then throwing it away isn't good enough, If we have any hopes of a top 8 finish we have to stop making things hard for ourselves and cut out needless penalties.

Wasn't at the game but it just sounded like we made some really dumb calls when we'd got ourselves back in the game. Painful way to lose the game and 2 points which cpuld have set us up nicely for next week. Would love to know what the penalty count was as sounds like we got hammered by Hicks.

Didn't get there because of the traffic - tried to go back roads to join further up the M60 but just got stuck in the general gridlock. We ended up in a random pub in Heywood and followed on twitter. Just watched the highlights. Looks like we gave away some soft tries despite what sounds like an overall impressive defensive display. Our discipline sounded bad too and how we didn't score at the end I don't know. If BMM passes to Welham he must score. But there you go. As someone tweeted, only Salford can come back from 12-2 down to be winning 22-12 with less than 10 to go and then lose! Disappointing not to back up the Warrington win However if you ever find yourself in Heywood, the Gardeners Arms does a great Sunday Roast for a tenner

What an odd game.
The first half we were second best; hardly any field position and we created just one chance which was fluffed when O'Briens pass to Carney on the left wing was overthrown.
The second half was much improved, and we did great to get ourselves ahead. It felt as though the game was won, but in true Salford fashion we snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. I couldn't see what happened on the final hooter as I was at the other end of the ground, but I'm led to believe that BMM dropped the ball on the line with two players free to his right. He didn't look like he was under too much pressure, so can anyone shed some light on what happened?
Apart from the ending, BMM had a very solid game. I can't think of too many players who shone today though. After a great win against Warrington last week it's only typical that we follow it up with a really bang-average performance the week later.
On a positive note though, out of the 3 games we've lost so far this season the biggest losing margin is 10 points. So we're not far away from turning these losses in to wins.

BMM played well but why's he not putting welham away on that last play...Suppose hindsight is easy. Gutted but still going in the right direction.

Only thing that makes me sure is that he didn't celebrate. Why he didn't pass to Welham I have no idea

Evalds is not a centre, at least we learnt that from the game today. I think that when we have a problem in the centres, Jones must be deployed there first, as we have more forward than back cover. Still, we should be motivated enough after losing today to stick it to Cas next week, I wouldn't be surprised if we win, as the team have more expectation, ability and 'team spirit' than for a long time. I also hope TC gets a start to give us something of the unexpected. I'm looking forward to it, as I'm sure the team will be. Can't wait.

As I was in the bus shelter behind the goal line in the right hand corner, sorry, disabled platform B, with my girlfriend who is a wheelchair user, I got a pretty good look at both the BMM miss and the Johnson try.
BMM seemed to bounce it, although I was right there and wasn't sure it was so fast. He backed himself, correctly, and then failed to get the ball down clean. Shame, he had a great match otherwise.
Johnson's try was interesting! I was 10ft away and had a better view than the linesman, the ref, and the ingoal judge, and thought we might have got lucky!
One other point was that our second yellow card for the team warning, was a clean drop of the ball, and I wondered if he dropped it deliberately knowing our man was off if he got a penalty. Looked cynical to me.
None of this would have mattered if we'd kept the penalty count down and completed our sets in the first 40.
Onwards...

Life is never dull as a Salford fan. Big test next week. I think we can do it. There is a big performance in there about to come out, and, like Saints last year, someone is going to cop for it. Let's hope it's Cas.
