so 2 questions : Who will he try and take with him ? I'd suggest he's close to the Clubs finances and knows who we will be prepared to sell if needed. Is this a bigger loss than if Rowley had gone to Hull ? actually 3 questions, whats Steve Simms up to these days. I think they will be in for Rowley....I have no doubt Rowley turned Hull down for a few reasons...travel, money and the fact he knew the Leeds job was in the pipeline. I dont think we have any players that could fit into the Leeds side...they have already nicked the best ones.

Well Rowley, 10 years younger than Bleasy, and different but extensive experience…be a great move for the Club….presumably Bleasy at 59 will do his 5 years then retire to try and improve his golf handicap….now that will be a challenge

I will give you this scenario. An Ian is sitting listless in his slightly bigger garden in his slightly more expensive middle market ‘leisure’ wear. He hears his slightly more sophisticated mobile phone ping and chime.. “Are you in Ian?” Five minutes later and Ian is opening his slightly bigger front door to his slightly bigger house as the other Ian arrives in his own slightly bigger car. Ian greets the other Ian. Ian sits down at the back with the other Ian. Other Ian says how’s it going? Each silently recognises that slightly bigger wages lead to slightly worse results and now each have significantly lots of time on their hands. “They would have built a statute of us. Named a stand. Or a road,” says the other Ian. “But they didn’t, we didn’t.” mourns Ian. And then from over the Pennines, it begins to rain.

He ended up on his hands and knees. He then spotted a long-lost and mouldy custard cream." Could have made it very Alan Bennett Esque.

🤣 v good
Ironically it was Marwan who brought in both Watto and Bleasy, from obscurity really but born and bred Salford lads both ex Salford players. They grafted with no funds, with the Club in turmoil, little resource, getting what players they could, lots of whom were then sold to keep the Club afloat. They massively over-achieved and gave us great days inc the Million pound game.
They were both recognised for their achievements by the RL Community and offered their next challenges, yes better rewarded but for them the next challenge. There are only so many times in life that you can keep going round the same track without resource and then seeing the resource you’ve developed get taken away.
I never begrudge people who work hard being rewarded…good luck ( but not too much ) to both of them. Even more strange Watto brought in Rowls who after the blip with Marshall, could now take over the Rugby Director reigns. So we might have a dynasty from Marwan to Blease/ Watson to Rowley. Let’s hope he takes on the role because I really rate him…especially for his openness and honesty but also for his RL knowledge and his bravery in decision making…he never hides, he’s always there to take the criticism but lets the team take the glory.

What Ian did re player recruitment for us was great That's what I see as a problem in the immediate future surely Mr king can't do it.

Absolutely but Rowls worked v closely with Bleasy and I’m sure lots of the deals for next season will have been done already with Rowls stamp,of approval
The bit Bleasy was good at, besides finding players, was the contracts which others will have to pick up; but Bleasy wouldn’t leave them in the lurch, he thinks too much of the Club…and there is always a plus side…Leeds will have a surplus of players which we might get first pick of
Time to look forward and be positive Dixon…only 6 points to go to your goal😉

Interesting times as always for us Salford fans.
Considering that not many years ago we were supposedly a disgrace that shouldn't be in SL. GF appearances, Challenge cup final, and providing other clubs with Men of steel and the hottest property in backroom staff says more about the state of other clubs more than ours. Blease did a good job for us and undoubtedly will do a decent job at Leeds. Whatever happens, we go on supporting our club. The only way we can shield ourselves from this kind of stuff is to get the people of Salford interested in actually turning up. Something that seems to be a permanent ball and chain around our necks. If the money was there we wouldn't have to see this happening. No superb club management can save us from these vultures until we repair the financial holes in the hull of our ship.

Ian Blease has made his bed and now must lay in it,if he doesn't move there he going to know the M62 like the back of his hand. We have survived other set backs we will survive this,so as the saying goes the king is gone long live the king.
