Did a good job for us. Will be hard to replace like-for-like but all the club can do is move on.

Good luck to him. Just hope there is a 12 month “no return” clause in his severance agreement. This will hopefully protect us from him poaching any of our staff in the short term. On a side note ; I wonder what Lohgan Lewis is thinking this morning? The man that probably sells the clubs merits to him, ups and leave's as he arrives. Only at Salford, but I do love this club.

I’m very sorry to see that Ian Blease has left the club. We fans owe him a great deal for the many productive years he has been at Salford. Many thanks for all you have done, Ian, and I hope you find the grass is greener on the other side of the Pennines. He has the ability to lead Leeds to the top of the table - and keep them there.
I hope we take the opportunity to promote Paul Rowley if he would like to be less “hands on” so that we can maintain our recent years of over-achieving and exciting rugby. I live in hope.

I too am sorry to see him go....he is part of the Salford set up and for continuity and the slim hope we can compete at the top then we need to have a settled team and back room staff. I dont blame him for going as obviously money talks, but the fact we are not only a feeder club regards players the vultures are flying overhead for main course and desserts aswell. It wont be long that they will be trying to entice Rowley away from the club and Leeds are by far a more viable option than Hull. Its a shame for us fans and another kick in the teeth. Its bad enough losing our best players, Croft/Ackers/Hastings and the rest before them, but to then bang on for investment and fans to turn up when the heart of the club is ripped out just beggar's belief. The stadium position is still not sorted....we get a hint that we are heading in the right direction then nothing and I do feel people at the top will jump ship before it sinks completely. Negative I hear you say...then yes....if anyone has an good news then throw it in and brighten my week up for christ sake!

Press conference at Leeds at 11am let’s get Blease out ASAP thank him for his service and move on. Not how these things work has to be a traditional period Gardening leave... if someone is crucial to a business and has "insider information" then you can make them do their notice period away from the office. This happens a lot with C level appointments in the finance/banking sector

so 2 questions :
Who will he try and take with him ? I'd suggest he's close to the Clubs finances and knows who we will be prepared to sell if needed.
Is this a bigger loss than if Rowley had gone to Hull ?
actually 3 questions, whats Steve Simms up to these days.
