After last season he must be gutted, the Club really let him down; our predicament is always put down to somebody else’s faultI, when in reality it’s about planning. I wouldn’t blame him.
I’ve said this all along EB that we’re a survival and feeder Club; ambition maybe but we seem to live on hope
AMBITION (or HOPE) without fully developed STRATEGIC PLANNING in the end is just a DREAM..

The club can do so much better if we work closer with foundation and supporters trust who can also do a lot better in terms of raising funds for the club

Well I don’t know the ins and outs but having monthly fundraising nights would help and not just at the same place all the time Also better merchandise which the supporters trust could supply with maybe half the profits going to the club

It’s the Boards remit and responsibility to raise funds.
I agree the Club Board seems to work in isolation and totally misses out on the resource that’s @vailsble
We are, as you intimated, a Community Club in name only; a number of us, with experience, ability and wide ranging connections, did put lots of time in to try to help but in the end we wasted our time; the only thing generated by us utilised by the Club was a fully researched Community Share Ownership Scheme, of which the Club eventually utilised part and achieved about a third of its target. We and others gave up; sadly
As I’ve said it seems to be a Private Members Club at times but as you say, things need to change.

For all the the willows generation wouldn’t it be amazing if we had a willows style variety night be amazing and that could raise a nice chunk of money if organised properly but with the way the club and supporters trust are run it’s only a dream

The ST is well run but do the Club communicate and involve them or just use them for Fundraising and help when needed
Has the Old Board totally given over to the newly Elected Board…maybe an item on their first agenda.

In the end, I think you’ll find, that it was the Club that wouldn’t engage fully….but that’s in the past…looking forward…has all the old Board gone anf a new one now in residence?
Sorry but I lost interest in the mechanics of it all and everything was engendered in a sudden burst of activity.

If we do lose Rowley then I would go all out to try and get Gleeson back from Wire as head coach. He has improved every team he has coached at, especially in attack. Haggerty may well get the nod though which will be a risk in my eyes.
