Lacking depth ......? We've got more backs than we can fit on the pitch at any one time and at least three of them can play multiple positions! Oh yeah you’re right let’s just have a 13 man squad? Hankinson is our only depth player in he’s injured or banned we’re down to putting forwards there Agreed, and Ryan is the only one I'd class as an out-and-out winger. The others have far more experience at this level playing centre. As you say, one injury to Ryan, Lafai, Nene, or Cross and Hankinson comes in. If we suffer another injury then it's Stone in the C again, like last year and Nene pushing out to he wing. We're okay at FB because we know Ryan and Atkin can both play there. We have cover in the halves as Mellor or Atkin can play there with Bourouh sliding in at hooker. Shorrocks can also do a job there and we have the young lad from Leeds. |

These numbers are a moveable feats aren't they?  22, 27, 13 .... er seven-a-side next? What makes you think Hankinson is the likely (sub) depth player, anyway?

Would you start hankinson? Well if I was the coach and he showed up the better alternative in training yes, far too many ifs. If Rowles is looking at having a bigger backline also. |

I like Hank he’s a decent centre but I’d still have cross starting and Lafai nails one centre spot down, Ryan and McDonald on the wings |

I was agreeing that we needed another depth player. Last year we have Williams and Costello and needed both. And, even then Longstaff and Stone big played C at some point.
I think most gree-quarters start on the wing, but at SL-level, Cross has always played C. Nene has more experience playing on the he wing at this level given Leeds injury issues last year. But, I still think both are more naturally centres than wingers. That lad from York would be ideal. Sign him to a 2/3 year deal. Give him 12 months of FT development where he only plays if there is an injury. I just think we need a little bit of additional cover and hope we don't get injuries like last year.

I hear there might be an announcement by Rowls on Saturday. AJ Towse from York and Aaron Pene would be welcomed. We were in for Peter Hola who is staying put in Canberra so must have some money. Salford 1963 you got any intelligence?

Plus who is this Jamie Pye that is supposed to be training with Salford? Is he the former Saints Academy Prop who went to Oldham? Only young if it is perhaps he is a trialist.

Yes that’s him I was told about him last year but thought he’d gone but saw a picture of the squad in camp and looks like he’s there next to king and Mellor |

We've had mystical JJR with his winger from Wests - think he will cost too much, but this forward is a possibility. Hope by 3pm tomorrow your the Oracle Mr Millward. |
