I saw that yesterday, he's been linked with Wakefield, but looks like he'd fit the bill for us. But, as Pete said earlier in the thread, no money means no players, so we're in a holding pattern. I think it's smart for the club to save some pennies right now. Theoretically, I know Sio and Burgess have gone and we've brought in Hankinson, so there should be a reasonable amount of wages available there, but I think it's better to bide our time and make that monthly saving, then explore the loan market. Besides, realistically, who could we possibly sign right now but that will put bums on seats and get people excited anyway? We have a decent 17, on paper, and an excellent coach, and I'm sure there is extra motivation to prove people wrong. Let's hope we stay clear of injuries early in the year and wait on the stadium deal. 1) Save what we can now and keep the squad we have. 2) Explore the short-term loan market at the start of the season if Rowley thinks we need it or in response to injuries. 3) Wait for the stadium deal to go through, hopefully in a couple of months. 4a) Assuming the deal goes through we can apply for the matched funding - essential to any five year plan (it's this that gives us the hope of growth and a longterm future without a benefactor) 4b) Focus on long-term, year long loans, and work to identify players who will help us in 2025 and beyond, if those players can be brought in this year then great. Ye we shouldn’t expect much this season but we all know that let’s hope things get sorted and in 2025 we can get a decent squad together

If there's nothing positive or the least hopeful too look forward to well .......
I'm tired of jam tomorrow outlooks and be patient morale boosting.

That’s just sport you may pic up wins but unfortunately some clubs have mega money which means they can sign better players and so on, big thing for me would be getting a proper academy back

Oh I agree we should aim to win every game but when you have no money it’s difficult to get the best players not saying you can’t still pull together and do something it’s just not very likely

If we do use our Quota spot for me a Prop is the biggest need and then a back, we were light on backs last year. I think investing in a Prop is priority 1.

Agree with this, we have some good workhorses just Missing a big aggressive hard running prop Melbourne Storm's Aaron Pene seems keen on a move to Superleague. I think there's only 4 teams with a quota spot. Think he'd make a good addition. Edit: apologies, someone else has already mentioned this!

Although pene has denied this move think we need to look at nsw/q cup

I wish we would look at Tristan Powell. Tough hard running young prop at Brisbane Tigers.
