Never has a more bang average player had so much attention for being out of contract as this guy has. Because he's been at Leeds, SARL have picked it up and basically given daily coverage of him. The other day there was an article about him now having to get a job in a bar!! Seriously who cares, he's not really good enough for SL so let him swallow his pride and drop down division like other players do. Beggers belief Kershaw has been hyped, London will be his destination. As for us then I assume Saturday will confirm Burgess is going if he is not training with the First team. If we terminate his contract we cannot sell him, he is a free agent, so who knows? maybe a swap or some kind of loan deal if he is not in Rowls plans. I bet Leigh, Saints, KR, Wire would look at him. We need a Winger and Prop in desperately. If we terminate his contract there’s no swap going to happen, he’s free to do whatever and looks like kr is his destination, good luck to him top player |

That article states that there has been meetings and he's left the club... but no official announcement? Is it true or speculation still?
The club needs to be the ones announcing thibgs like this so they can control or at least steer the initial narrative, instead of allowing rumours and speculation to build.
Our three-quarters are now looking much worse. Nene and Ryan are good wingers (I'd rather Nene there than Cross as he returns the ball well and always seemed better there for Leeds) but I do think we'll lose some initial go forward as Sio and Burgess both returned well and with urgency. Hankinson is comparable to Costello but has more experience. We really need another winger now or a player who can play across the whole back line, like another Ryan. Any injury in the centre and you'll lie to see Nene shift there. I jury at FB and Ryan is the obvious option. In both cases we need a winger to replace Nene or Ryan.

Although I'm well aware of certain aspects of Olphert's play wasn't he Leeds main yardage gainer? This is worth its weight in SL, like it or not.
And Budgie can be filed under the ne'erdowells thread for good measure!
