Due to the way fans from Bradford, Castleford and Leigh acted on the old forum many of us used to use I have nothing but contempt for them all, I might not be without blame but never once have I posted anything but encouragement of praise on another teams board.
The RFL are as much to blame as anyone else, they have seen fit to appoint a director who has taken the club into administration twice whilst in charge and I'm sorry but the rules that Bradford wanted us help accountable to now decree that they get a very heavy punishment to start next season.

As I've said before I think we became the new Wigan without actually winning anything to explain why!
It's not that I want any club to go down, but after all that was said on neutral forums I no longer support RL in general.
I support SRD, end of!

You can't help but have sympathy for Bradford supporters ,there but for the grace of God....... As regards Green he raised the profile of the investigation and meant it had greater scrutiny than might otherwise have been the case but,yes you're quite right that the real comedians were those who thought the payment method was clever. I'm not even sure Marc Green's e-mail raised the profile of the investigation. By the time the e-mail appeared, I think Salford's secret contract with Tony Puletua was already in the public domain because the club had cleverly let it go to court. Fans of other clubs seem pretty obsessed with Marwan, and TotalRL was already rife with speculation and bizarre conspiracy theories about why no investigation appeared to be taking place. All the e-mail did was confirm that, in fact, the RFL was investigating it (which shouldn't have come as a surprise really). There are questions about what Green's motivation was in sending the e-mail, and in how he came to know about an investigation that should have been a matter between Salford and the RFL, but I don't think it had any bearing on what happened, neither the outcome nor the publicity surrounding it. Salford's problems last season were entirely self-inflicted. We don't know who leaked the e-mail either. For all we know, it could have been the RFL trying to show that it was on the case.

You may be right but it's a generous interpretation of his involvement which won't be shared by many

The RFL are as much to blame as anyone else, they have seen fit to appoint a director who has taken the club into administration twice whilst in charge and I'm sorry but the rules that Bradford wanted us help accountable to now decree that they get a very heavy punishment to start next season. Web forums - and social media in general - tend to attract some of the less intellectually gifted members of society, the subspecies homo bellus endii. All clubs have them, including our own. I remember when Wakefield were in financial difficulties a few years ago, one Salford fan developed a major man-crush on Danny Kirmond and was all over the Wakefield forum mithering about them selling him to Salford (like it was their decision). It was cringeworthy. We also had a couple who went round other clubs forums after we had beaten their team (so, only occasionally then) bragging about it and generally being a nuisance. And let's not forget that the very existence of this forum is, I think, at least in part down to the behaviour of one of our own fans elsewhere. I spoke to a few Bradford fans after they beat us at Odsal last year, and some Leigh fans after the game at the LSV this year, and they seemed decent people. I'd prefer to base my opinions of those clubs' fans on those that I've met rather than on the Special Needs crews that you see on the forums, and that's why I find it easy to have some sympathy for their plight. To the best of my knowledge (which, to be fair, only comes entirely from looking at the Bradford forum on RLFans), none of the ones that can spell seem to be asking for any special treatment. They expect to be punished, and punished heavily.

You may be right but it's a generous interpretation of his involvement which won't be shared by many It caused a lot of aggro on forums, fanned flames and stirred for all he was worth. Irrespective of the actual effect on SRD's SC problems he made the feelings of everyone involved, and many who weren't, worse. No he didn't influence much except Bulls fans who like to believe they wouldn't have been relegated and Salford would have, this meant a lot of things were written that would have been best unsaid. I don't post on other sports or other club's forums and I think if you do, I don't understand why?

Watson Focus on character
so - we still have room for players but those signings have to fit in with the squad ( No nutters rule ) we missed out on some potential signings due to MPG
Jnr S'au is trying to make up for lack of star signings by adopting a Lionel Messi haircut

I really applaud and am pleased with this outlook and the intention. I have doubts as well. For once I'd like it to work out for the club and the team and most of all the fans.

Rumour on antisocial media that the Roosters are releasing Dale Copley, he would do wonderfully.

Did we miss out on Huby for a reason?
Could've been the answer up front.
Okay I admit I'm missing the rumours! It's the close season! There only seems to be Kick and clap on the box!

If Gallon or a.another did sign as a marque do they count on the overseas quota as we currently have 7. Most are contracted to 2017. It's something that I asked ages ago and nobody really knew. It was presumed that they'd still count on the cap if you had space. I'd hazard a guess though, that a significant name would be given a dispensation by the RFL to get them into the game over here. For instance, if Thurston came over and the team he was going to were at max non-fed, I'd put money on the RFL granting a dispensation due to having a player of that stature in SL.
