Atkins is past his best imo.
He's still a decent player, but his flame is certainly on the wane. I'd rather us pick-up an up and coming youngster to gamble on, than what we would have snapped-up in yesteryear.
Not for me.

So bad that he scored 4 tries against us this year and made Sau look slower than Platt when we played them at the HWJ.

In other better news, atkins has signed an extension with wire. Happy about that one being wrong! We lost Jones Bushop, then remember Monaghan being linked , then signing with Cas. Then we got Carney . Always a better outcome round the corner.

Warrington haven't got rid of Atkins for no reason, I'm happy we didn't get him as he's an old Salford signing, a good player on the cusp of becoming an ex good player.
He will still command a significant salary and I'd be happier using that money to invest in a younger player.

Do agree with this though " I'd rather us pick-up an up and coming youngster to gamble on...."

salford - In the Market
sounds like an ' old ' interview say around 12th Oct . Aaron Bower with Watson
Key points ' Four or Five '
' No Panic - trying to be smart '
Michael & Mark 'βMichael did a good job at the back end of the year and Mark Flanagan came in and became vice-captain; he was huge for us,β
It's Watson saying Lui's staying
the ' Big Middle ' I guess was Adam Walker who went to a ' top4 '

This is a bit like watching paint dry though.
The date is 27th so it shouldn't be that old but it is League Express!
Four or Five - great
