21 centre Chester Butler ( grandson of Colin Dixon) and ex salford academy winger Conner McGrath are to get some game time with Salford v Hull. One game loan period

I'm a little confused by this, is it to have a look at then with an eye to them joining or is it because of injuries and injury prevention?

Thoughts for the future. Chance to look at them against a Super League team

Jones is broken , Bibby , although not as bad as first feared , took a knock to his knee, Carney ( J) was taken off as a precaution last week . Sau - Evalds - Johnson , if they get an injury we're in S-- street . Chester Butler played well when he came on - It gives Watson a chance to show Marshall @ Halifax it's a meaningful arrangement , and we can take a couple of out backs off mid game today to lessen the risk .

The squad is here for you to gawk at. Jake Bibby is in - which is a bit of a surprise - as is Liam Bent, also a surprise. I thought he was on a season long loan at Halifax. Still no Logan Tomkins, and no sign of star signing Todd Carney either.

Todd Carney is still awaiting his visa so won't be here until at least the start of the season (is my understanding) I wonder if having the 'fax lads is part of the DR deal with them? They both went well in their spells on the pitch - one put a massive hit in and the other took a high ball really well under significant pressure. Reduced the chances of us getting any more injuries but we seem to be dropping back rowers with worrying regularity. Weller limped off and Flanagan came off early. J Walne also had a lot of treatment on the pitch (but stayed on I think)
