Just mentioned on another thread about Evalds being an outside bet for an England place and it got me thinking who else might be worth a punt.
Evalds is worth his weight as he is a more than accomplished full back, scores for fun on the wings and if the reports are correct he is a natural centre of no little talent. Does anyone know if he has Irish heritage (based purely on his name) as if he didn't progress enough to get an England place you'd think Ireland would kill for someone of his quality. We saw in the 4 Nations that England struggled in the backs and desperately need new blood, can't see Hardaker getting a recall and Watkins looked washed up so might be the time for new blood.
Think also Josh Jones might be in with an outside chance, very good wide running back row and more than capable of covering in the centres during a game without weakening the side on the park. Back row is a position England are blessed in but his ability in the backs does his a competitive edge.
There is a potential (if the eligibility laws haven't changed dramatically) of Justin Carney qualifying as he has been in the country for 4 yrs, as above the backs is where England looked to struggle.
Unless someone like a Brinning absolutely destroys SL can't see any other Salford players having a chance of an England call up, plenty of other nations but unlikely any of a country with a chance of a final spot.
