What has struck you most about moving to a SL side and going full time? How do you see your role in the squad, and is it different from what you are used to? What has been the the most difficult thing for you when signing for a new club? What are the significant differences when signing for a SL Club? What are your personal goals for this season? How has pre-season gone for you personally and for the team? Are you the first Scarborough lad to play SL?

Have you relocated to Salford or do you commute?
You have an incredible try scoring record for York, do you think that your style of play will allow you to continue this in SL?
Will that style of play need to be changed?
Do you have a mentor or roll model within the current squad?
Now you are full time do you think (or have you already) filed out with the increased training and dietary requirements?
Who do you think your style of play most resembles and growing up did you always want to be a #9?

"With all the negative publicity in the press and on social media about the club over the past few seasons, what swayed your decision to sign for Salford?"
Not that he would admit it but this could be a relatively easy answer.........we were the first club to offer him a full time contract?

A big thanks to Kriss for doing this Q&A for the website!
What has struck you most about moving to a SL side and going full time? Probably just the intensity of training and the expectations everyone has of one another.
How do you see your role in the squad, and is it different from what you are used to? Watto still wants me to be a running threat, similar to how I played at York, but Salford play a lot more from 9 so I'm developing that side of my game.
What has been the the most difficult thing for you when signing for a new club? Pre-season has been tough. It's my first pre-season where I've been a full time player and the fitness sessions that GB has put us through have been awful at times.
What are the significant differences when signing for a SL Club? The attention to detail in all aspects of the game, intensity of training and the standards that are expected in terms of fitness levels, skill and communication etc.
What are your personal goals for this season? Train hard and play as many games as I can.
How has pre-season gone for you personally and for the team? Pre-season has been tough but really successful. Everyone has bought into what the coaching staff expect and what we expect from each other. Personally, it's gone pretty well and I'm learning more everyday.
Are you the first Scarborough lad to play SL? I can only think of one, Jason Payne, who played for Cas.
Have you relocated to Salford or do you commute? I've moved and currently live in Walkden.
You have an incredible try scoring record for York, do you think that your style of play will allow you to continue this in SL? I think we'll just have to wait and see, I don't really think about things like that. Super League defences will be stronger, but doesn't matter who scores as long as we are playing well and winning.
Do you have a mentor or roll model within the current squad? To be honest everyone has helped me at some point. The environment we have is really positive and is a good place to learn. Logan, Dob and Robbie have been really helpful in getting me get up to speed with the plays though.
Now you are full-time do you think (or have you already) filled-out with the increased training and dietary requirements? I'm a similar weight to when I started. Maybe a bit heavier, but I have lost some fat which means I must have gained some muscle.
Who do you think your style of play most resembles, and growing up did you always want to be a #9? Any hooker who likes to get out of the back of a quick play the ball. I can't really remember. I played 9 and 13 most of my teens.
With all the negative publicity in the press and on social media about the club over the past few seasons, what swayed your decision to sign for Salford? Watto persuaded me to come. I really liked the atmosphere and ethos he had created. It seemed like a place I would fit in and be developed into a better player.
Where are the team aiming to be at the end of the season? As far away from the million pound game as possible.

Interesting that Watto persuaded Kriss to join Salford and nothing to do with the Sheens effect.

Thanks for that. Interesting answers which give a nice insight into the young lad's mindset. I particularly like his answer to the last question - as far from the mpg as possible. LOL at that!

Who's asking the questions?
Talked to a couple of lads who've been to the friendlies and they've said he's looked good. Hope he gets his chance in SL and takes it.
