I'd take Lovett in a heartbeat, quality young back row, what would worry me is that play even remotely well this season and an NRL gig would be a given for 2018 (especially with the new inflated salary cap).

He's a good player so I hope there's some truth in that rumour. I'd rather have James Tedesco from Wests but that's never happening!

Thing with Lovett is he has been released because of a salary cap error at Wests, it has happened too late for him to find an NRL club for 2017 meaning I'd be incredibly surprised if he wasn't already in many NRL teams radar for 2018.
Even if it was just for one year I'd take him then use BMM off the bench as an incredibly devastating wide runner or if needed a work horse up the middle as he has the size for it.

Talking about SR young Liam Bent is doing very well at Halifax apparently and got League Weekly's Halifax man of the match on Sunday. He's on loan at Halifax for the season so can only get better and can see him pushing Lannon for a spot next year. Good to see such a well developing player at such a young age.
