The challenge is getting all 3 in the starting team the best way for that to happen is McDonald’s on the wing but give him a license to roam like he does now .
Interesting how well nene played at fb yesterday

Me personally I just think it’s a total waste having 3 overseas players who there preferred position is centre!especially when we have 2 very average overseas forwards in stone and wright who can’t make any yards between them!I really think with how important the overseas spots are we have wasted ours not getting a forward!when the going got tough in that Leigh game we needed someone with abit of grunt to get us out of our half instead we were continually going nowhere!

Our lack of go forward is much more attributable to defenses and game plans of the other sides. They identified the way we play, the direction and who. They set out to stem the flow before it got going and were either quite successful or very successful.
We seemed unable to change that, which I still think is because we go through one player far too often.

Are pack is easy to defend! We need to go forward in the middle to give are backs space to play

Are pack is easy to defend! We need to go forward in the middle to give are backs space to play Our pack suffers from the same limitations as much as the rest of the team, but more obviously. The other teams ability to identify where the threat is coming from and prevent it making any inroads is quite dramatic and more and more sides are adopting this method.
Where and when our forwards get the ball it is often in bad situations and poor moments. In other words, as often as not, too much is expected of them.

Can’t say I agree Russ! We suffer from being forced to play players like weight and Hank in the middle who have little go forward. Singo has been hit and miss and so has ormondroyd which left is looking

But it’s so obvious the forwards lay the platform for the backs to do there thing our forwards do not lay a platform as they can’t make yards so when we get pinned in our own 20 we’re not going anywhere and that’s why McDonald lafai and marsters are used as battering rams!look at Leigh Wigan hull kr they have big bodies which then allow there playmakers to do things, hopefully as russ said nikorima can have a big pre season and stuff can go through him as well as sneyd!I was speaking to Paul king who said in the Leigh game it was that loud that nikorima said he couldn’t hear some of the calls!

We have often had a weight discrepancy compared to other teams that's true but that was not the only reason for the times we lost. We also gained 32 points and if the discrepancy was the only logic we would have had about 30 less.
It's not that this is a wrong focus though. it's simply more complicated than that!
Of course we can always improve go forward and if we're going to address this one that's fine but it won't change everything on its own.

Changes a lot more than you think! Forwards on the front foot gives room for sneyd to kick and nikorema to run the ball with space giving are backs freedom to play and not forcing them to do the donkey work . One of the reasons I think hill will go well

One of the reasons I think hill will go well I don't think I've ever underestimated the importance of forwards or marginalized their hard work.
Those 32 points and top six place are a testament to the fact they weren't dominated often.

Well here's hoping that some signings happen, that on the face of it, before the season starts, at least look the business and like they'll make the difference between just being competitive and being in the area of trophies.
It's alot to put on new signings but they are simply making the difference to an excellent squad basis.
