So, no new signings then? It seems a long time coming, I hope it's worth the wait! If we delay any longer they won't even have a preseason! Think pre season starts some time mid November so you imagine we’d get some news now the season is officially over Hope you're right cm, though pre-season isn't that far away.
I found the end of the season to be a bit disappointing (not SRD) just overall. I did think given the results throughout the season that we might get a different GF winner.
I wonder if the predictability versus the unpredictability will make crowds go up or down? I'm not sure if more competitiveness trumps the usual end result, and when one team wins every trophy what's going to make fans turn up?
Feel really sorry for York and Swinton, and think Wakey back in SL is another sadly predictable element.

Leigh are moving in the right direction with their signings, some excellent talent on the way there!

They have a big rebuild losing some very big key players, ours will come out eventually, hoping there's a few surprises like Sneyd was

Excellent news about Rowls staying and the first of a few announcements by the club in the off season. Paul King has said before that he wants to drip feed news once the season ends to keep the continuous engagement. I know some want all the signings announced now but that would mean having minimal content till February.
Expect a few more players announced and the fixtures and kit launch over the next few weeks then a bit of an event / buzz around season ticket collection event.
Plenty to come, I just wouldn’t expect it all to be revealed in one go next week.

We will know them all by pre season anyway normally the media leeks stuff sometimes months in advance but we do seem good at keeping in in house

Very happy with the Rowles announcement as one of the pieces of news .... good on the club
Also proud of the club over the sad news about the passing of Alan Easterbrook, SRD don't just remember their out and out stars!

The theory of spreading out news to keep fan engagement going over a period (especially in the close season) makes perfect sense but does is work? Is there any evidence to show it's a good strategy?
It would be hard to judge with the die-hards on a forum like this but elsewhere it might be a different tale.
Also have the club ever had a section or sections for younger fans on the website?

Interesting that our new signing Chris Hill has been kept in the test squad with Dupree and Mulhern not making it.

We’re one of the only clubs who do so others must disagree, who knows if it works We've done this for a few years, and while it could work I don't think it really has so far. A slow drip feed could work if news slowly built-up and speeded-up to, say, a big signing. Building excitement and interest as the season draws closer. Unfortunately our pre-seasons tend to be demolition jobs and frantic scrabbling to patch-up the holes left by our best players being poached. Maybe this season might be different?

Yes and I had doubts which is why I asked about it.
When the Bulls were top pf the pile they kept themselves in the news, newsworthy and constantly fed newspapers with all sorts of stuff but it was non-stop. And I think it may have been a lesson for RL as a whole in view of its media profile.
