We have recruited well this season and for me Joe Mellor tops the lot. Nikorima coming on fine. Lewis also. Bit concerned whether Watkins & Brierley will be fit for Thursday plus Lafai could get a ban. If Lafai gets a ban it will prove what a bent bunch of barstewards the RFL are after Lisone avoiding one. Really harsh sin-bin with the player falling into the tackle.

I can understand anyone thinking that way looking at those two incidents.

The lovely London Broncos beat the Dragons today, keeping us 4th. Been a good weekend!

Indeed, there was also a favourable outcome in a preseason football friendly in South Carolina in the early hours of the morning. So a great sporting weekend.

I couldn’t go but watched the full game back. Tom Grant clearly explains that it’s for repeated offences. He hadn’t given a team warning but he’d had given back to back penalties and there was infringement in the ruck(-delaying the PTB or whatever it was). In isolation it probably wasn’t a sin bin but it was for repeated offences. Same as at the end. ( cant remember the exact incident now but they had a player sin binned with just over 10 minutes left) He explained that he’d told Can Smith to have a word with his players to calm down 2 minutes previously but they persisted so he wasn’t having any more.

Massive reaction on Social Media from some fans in relation to Brodie's celebration after he scored. FFS, he turned to his own team mates and gave a bit of a roar/fist pump... the way some of our fans are going on it's like he threw the ball into the South Stand and cupped his ears to goad us.🤦♂️😂
We sold him to raise cash as we were skint.
He's always been respectful towards the club.
He can't burst into tears every time he plays against us because he wishes he was still a Devil.
Some ex-players deserve the stick they get. Brodie isn't one of them. Let's not turn him into the next Myler eh?🤷♂️

No Brodie was just celebrating like he always has but I'm reaching the point where I think social media needs controlling, banning, should come with a government health warning or has a side dish of anger management every time you log on!

On Brierley sometimes he can be awful as a defensive full back in attack he is brilliant. He was great against Cas and solid yesterday; he has been much better positionally the past two games which is positive. Against Saints I am glad we have Hank at 1 we will need his returns.

Agree…I think the problem with Brierley at FB is that he’s transitioned from a half back to a FB, so instinctively he misses a few things…slightly out of position , lack of anticipation… being played as an extra HB But gives his heart and soul to the cause
interestingly Rowley said he nearly started with Hankinson

Just to say, if it hasn’t been already.
The atmosphere from us supporters on Saturday was tremendous.
Yeah the roar (even in the tartan rug, flask and kids and pensioner Main stand) was empathetic all except that brief spell when the ‘Rhinos’ went a dozen up.
Perhaps the loudest, most furious noise I remember at the SCS.

It was quite rowdy when we scored 40 odd points against Saints a few years ago

One game ban for Lafai. Predictable. Well John, Tim made contact with the head of a player moving downward and the Leeds prop lifted his elbow towards the head of a tackler who was upright and we can all draw our own conclusions from that ...... but really it's not good enough and inconsistent.
