Nope not had a drink all month but it’s true doesn’t matter that we’ve lost players and brought in other players our attack still hasn’t been the same as previous years it’s clearly visible that we aren’t doing the same plays as we have done it’s clear that this year despite certain players leaving something has been lost in our tactics and game plans Honestly feels like we get a couple of tries and then defend our way to victory without even trying to get anymore tries They has only been 2 games this year which we have scored more than 30 points only 2 We’ve lost half a team this year and have to rebuild…as Dixon said 20 points is good this year but we’re in with a chance of the play offs; with a knackered small patched up squad having lost 5 internationals and the Man of Steel… It takes time to build, rebuild a team…give em a break And we still have as many players from previous few years still with us and not all of them are playing up to the standards set previous years …. If your happy with the way we are playing this year then that’s your opinion I’m just saying this year we haven’t been attacking right our game management isn’t right and we have been very lucky with the wins we grinded to get What would you be saying if those wins we got by grinding it out actually lost ? Would you say it’s unlucky or new half a team or would you say not good enough we shouldn’t be playing like this I still believe we are so much better than we are performing and we have the potential to be top 3 instead of top 6

Didn't see the game, so can't comment too much. Seems that we are feeling the effects of constant changes to the squad. Small squad dictates these things. Injecting new guys into the squad takes time, and we've struggled all year to match what we normally do in attack. Our free-flowing attacking style has currently dried-up and we are not quite resilient enough to grind out tough games consistently. That really is the difference between the top sides and us. I suppose it hasn't helped that we have never replaced Croft this year. Not even managed to replace him with a player that can do the basics consistently. With a bit of luck, Nikorima might settle after a few weeks, but it may take a pre-season to sort our number six woes out. Chalk this as a game we shouldn't really be losing. Another one that got away, which is frustrating as we go and beat the likes of Saints and Wire consistently but end up dribbling rusty water down our legs against rubbish opposition. It is, however, peak Salford... Not even the top sides are doing it consistently, barring Wigan. Did you hear the wire fans after we beat them (again), they were done, no passion, no structure. Now they are world beaters. Last night was poor, Huddersfield players are fighting was always going to be a tough game but we look shattered. Every team will go through a bad patch, this is ours. In terms of timing IF we can turn it round soon it could be perfect, on a roll in the playoffs. No need for us to over react.

Memo to Paul Rowley
a) Bring back Rowleyball and take a few risks. Giants simple game plan was to play in our 25. b) Do not use Nene to drive out from own 25. His career will be shortened o/wise. c) Stop everything going through Marc. We are far too predictable. d) Speak to Marc about his last tackle kicks as currently very poor. More 40/20s required also. e) Invest in a taxi for Cade. f) Our line should be yards deeper with players running onto the ball.

When we got the penalty at 6-2 we could have had the game won…8-2 and they really didn’t look as tho they’d score a try. We need to learn to sometimes to just grind, as we did, but take the points on offer and be patient
I think a weeks rest, will do them a lot of good.

Yes we should have won last night but I do think we get carried away because of how well we have done this season,we have a small squad and have no right to be as high as we are compared to hudds,Leigh Leeds hull so when we do lose there’s this massive meltdown!to get in top six would be amazing and yes last night was disappointing but I’m sure we will come back from it

Also I think the way to beat us is to make us play from our 20 which is what Wigan Catalan and last night did,we don’t have the forwards to make yards so we’re easy to defend plus everything goes through sneyd or relying on McDonald to make breaks hopefully having a new 6 will provide us with a different threat for teams to worry about and also getting lafai back will be massive for us

Agree with most of this although we can’t play Rowleyball off a beaten pack. Also using Nene as a forward is dumb. It’s time both Brierley and Cust were dropped, Hankinson is better at full back especially in defence and returns the ball. Cust can be let go now he’s offered nothing all year, Jayden has got to start next week. Having seen it back I have to say Jack Smith is bent, Singo was never a high shot and the other penalties given were soft, Hudds flopped continually and we’re never penalised once. Rowley needs to complain about Smith it’s not the first time and give the players a hard time last night was not acceptable.

We shouldn’t settle with 8-2 victory we need more points, we can’t grind our way to wins it’s too much for us to do we have so much scoring potential which seems to be locked up , I know a wins a win but look how many times we nearly lost because we couldn’t kill the game or didn’t attack and take our chances when we had them

I can see some of you saying not to use nene to take the ball in . But we have no choice if he doesn’t we’d never get out are own half. There’s not one player in the pack who makes that many m

Hard to say which is more boring the game or the reactions to it!

We didn’t get the ball wide as much as we did against saints and the little tricks of going one way to then switch to another way didn’t happen as well .. its funny we do that stuff and it works then we have another game and we don’t attempt to do any of it or we try once it fails and we don’t try again

Listening to Inu in his pre-match interview I noticed he said that the team had only two sessions between Catalan and Hudds, which was a short turnaround with an added travel day. Reading between the lines it sounds like they were more interested in conserving the energy of the players, showing that the team is in a pretty tired state at the moment. It's not the end of the world, and every team has slipped-up this year. Just a little worried that we seem to be tiring when the intensity of games needs to slowly rise from now onwards. Especially for the top six.
PR pretty much confirming this on his post-match interview. The amount of players we have that do extended minutes means that over time we gain a lot of fatigue with little room for resting. It certainly explains our flat performances these past two games.
