Maybe these two threads can be merged.
Strange to think it didn’t work out for him. He assembled a team of his Salford favourites and had pretty much blank cheque to sign who else he wanted and it just hasn’t worked out and I can’t see why.
I was gutted when he left and I think the way he went about it was all wrong but here we are.

It left a sour taste when he left after turning down Hull and saying he he’d unfinished business at Salford but I hate to see anyone losing their job.

I also thought he would be successful at Huddersfield. I do not know why it hasn't happened but thought the brand of rugby they played against us did not use the abilities of the players at his disposal in a meaningful way.
I expected them to be around the top three or four and serious contender's for the cup..

I never got the hype with Hudds TBH. On paper they'd pulled together a decent pack but their backline is dogshit, with very little pace or creativity in it. Didn't see them as a top 6 team at all.

No sympathy from me.
Watson left for a club with a great youth policy(his words) still waiting to see that.
He also thought having money would bring him success and he failed there.
He left us in the Lurch and the disastrous appointment of Richard Marshall.
Luckily we got Paul Rowley and the rest is history.
The club has moved on but I won’t forget what he did.
No way he should be allowed back anywhere near Salford.

Shame to see watto leave Huddersfield he is a good coach for some reason it didn’t work out
He is a local lad as well more people from Salford the better hope he can stay in the game some how

I can't believe the gullibility of some people.🤦♂️ I guess if these trolls get ignored they'd soon disappear but it obviously gives some saddos a strange sense of enjoyment. Is there any wonder why so many people have a massive dislike for SM? If you follow, retweet, like etc any of these posts then you're just fuelling the fire and you're part of the problem.🙄 |
