So just wanted to get something out there wasn’t sure which thread to ask on so started this
It’s getting to that time of year multiple events are popping up all over Salford and Manchester just to name 2 irlam live and concerts at Barton airport Wouldn’t it be amazing to use these opportunities for the club or foundation or ST to advertise Salford introduce rugby to people who haven’t seen it and show that we are a community club.
Last year I was at irlam live and it’s a great event lots of people around great food and some football activities it was a big missed opportunity in my opinion. Also it would be great to see the stadium host’s concerts and other events.

Are you going to the Supporters Trust meeting on Monday? Worth bringing this up there if you are. If not, I'm happy raising it.
Concerts at the stadium is a tricky one... I've been crying out for that for ages but I asked at the Owners Event last month and the cost to lay a pitch that is capable of withstanding concerts etc is something stupid like £2m. Can't see it happening any time soon sadly.

Afraid I’m working till about 11pm so can’t make it but it be great if it could be raised
£2million to change the pitch that’s worth it for all the potential revenue which can be generated from having concerts and other sporting events …. Imagine 1 big massive festival at Barton and the stadium at the same time with loads of different things happening

Surely council and peel could find the money or get the pitch sponsored lol Once the ownership of the stadium is finally sorted then they may look into that as they will need to get maximum usage out of it to get the most benefit (i.e. make money). The other main issue apart from the cost would be when they could do the work as it is currently used year-round for rugby of both codes. So our season and/or Sale's season would be affected by relaying the pitch. You could resolve that by playing a block of the season as all way fixtures, which I think other clubs have done whilst having work done on their stadiums. This is also why it's not an issue for a football grounds, such as the London Stadium, Emirates Stadium, etc, to hold concerts and other events as they are not used in the closed season (which also just happens to be the summer, so is ideal for such things).

They is always areas where we can host other events but also we have such a massive area outside the stadium a concert could be held on the carpark but definitely an area the new owners need to look at
