I’ve always liked king but personally I’d let him go next year we can’t afford these 1 out of 5 games where he’s good. Cost us 2 yesterday with lazy defence.

Indeed Carnster a puzzle located in a maze.
I found yesterday infuriating. It was a game to be targeted but yet again we witnessed an unpalatable mix of ineptitude, fatigue and slackness. We really need Singleton and Dudson back as it looked beaten last night. The edge defence is toothless. I thought the KR debacle would focus minds, but clearly not.
The other point is I doubt we will be returning to Wheeldon Road soon. That ground is appalling. It an insult to their own supporters, shocking for any visitor and frankly I can see it drag Cas down to the Championship.

This is a weird team this year. They defensively look better than last year but are shipping more tries. They are more structured than last year but their structure is shipping tries. We are playing more maturely than last year but are making stupid calls at stupid times. I'm really not sure what to make of it all... I agree C, but it’s a team in formation, having lost 5 of its leading players and 2 as the season was nearly there. So really good spells and poor ones, which is probably normal. i think we can only judge mid season, but I think that the good is outweighing the bad at the moment. Rowley does amaze me tho in how he turns what looked like a dire situation pre season into something which potentially is so positive…so as they say ‘time will tell’. I just hope we can at least hang on to what we have.

I think you've highlighted why it's so disappointing this time round they do look to have more about them than last year and yet fail to live up to their potential.

Russ I suppose 64 thousand dollar question is why some would say the coach others would say something different. A lot people would say the best coach we have had was Lance Todd but growing up down Regent Rd the late Billy Watkins had pub the Gloucester I remember one time asking him about the 30 ties side and him saying a lot of the moves were worked out by himself Jenkins Risman and Jackie Feetham and Todd was m ore of a manager. I no people will say are but it's a different game now

In the same way I don't look at individual players to blame which in RL, the epitome of a team sport, is ridiculous.
I can imagine players working out things in spite of how they're coached but it's also a bit like the props version of the ten metres he ran to score, becoming a 50 metre effort where his footwork beat three or four defenders.

We are extremely lucky to have a coach who likes to play such an attractive brand of attacking rugby and who can get the best out of some players just like watto did
Things to work on defence, mentality and game management some players wasn’t fit as well last night. I know we don’t have a world class reserve team but some players should be playing for them to get up to standards other clubs do it so why can’t we. Also I’d like to see some youngsters be given a chance cas did and some of them played great you never know how young players will be till they get a chance to show it

I would like to see more of Morgan and foster I haven’t watched any of the reserve games but surely they could some young players in there which could step up if we are struggling
Another thing is the lack of adapting to situations like the right edge could have moved some players about to strength the side

Stone defensive is excellent with ball doesn’t really make much yardage really he’s ok but again for an overseas player think there’s better out there but that’s just my opinion!

I’d say yeah he was a good signing, just not sure if he is being used right this year … my opinion bringing sidlow and Dixon back was the wrong decision should have got younger forwards and 2nd rows with their wages I think we should be smart when it comes to signing players over certain age
