Saints have a few out including Lees, Batchelor and Hurrell. This is a great time to play them. A couple of other players have knocks also. Whatever team we put put we will need to keep our discipline. Still echoing the discipline; It won't matter how well behaved we are it makes no difference to the penalty count!
But you're right, if there is ever a good time to play saints @theirs, this is it!
If you look at the Saints forum the mind boggles, lots of their fans think they lack pace in a backline containing Welsby, Makinson and Bennison. Plus some think Ritson is not up to it, we're not blessed with pace without Ryan and Norfoalumo in the team. They will certainly miss Hurrell, Batchelor and Lees but are massive favourites. To make a game of this we have to be disciplined otherwise penalties will kill us. If we can weather the first 15 mins and throw the ball about to tire their forwards out we will create chances. Just hope the pitch is better than last week. Three massive games coming up as we approach Easter.

Saints fans mmmmmmm!
Yes they'll definitely miss those three.
All the games are massive!
I'll say again though, the way the rules are interpreted your sides' discipline is not relevant as refs pick what they want to enforce and when they want to enforce it. So if the twelve disciples and the archangel Gabriel were our starting 13 we'd still get hammered with penalties and six agains.

Scramble defence has been good so far, shame about the try, though far too many metres conceded. I wish Brierley would start running the ball back though and try to win the first collision with his pace so the wingers can follow up. That's what Edwards (Penrith) is brilliant at. He immediately attacks, lands on his front and plays the ball. Running 10 m/15 m sideways and throwing along pass costs us a lot of metres and inevitably ends with us losing the first collision.

I think Shorrocks should have passed when he collected the ball from that kick-off but how did the Saints player not get sin-binned? Surely, holding down there was a professional foul with the defense retreating? Instead we get a set restart in the first tackle.
Then the obstruction on Brierley. I'm surprised the video ref didn't get involved but even Wilkin says we've been hard done too.
Cracking try though! Fantastic last ball from Brierley and Cross did well to finish.

Watkins costs us 6 pts with a stupid off load

Watkins costs us 6 pts with a stupid off load Yep. Let ourselves down there. Right back in the game. Phenomenal defence to hold Saints out on the right edge. Then we throw two ridiculous offloads (Hank? and Watkins) that were never on inside our own 20m. You'll never beat Saints if you keep giving them the ball near your own line.

That's Rowleyball but you gotta know when to throw ball about and like you've said it's not near your own try line, Cust off rest of game and misses next week aswell

Elementary mistakes ow a good effort first half. Saints off side all night doesn't help our cause.

That's Rowleyball but you gotta know when to throw ball about and like you've said it's not near your own try line, Cust off rest of game and misses next week aswell I don't think it is Rowleyball. Fans use that as an excuse. No way would have had advocated those two offloads. He promotes playing with you head up and what's in front of you. That allows players to take risks, like when we tried to swing the ball right but Cust's pass to Brierley was off (around over 30m). But those two offloads were dumb plays and it's cost us 6 points. I struggle to see us scoring more than 20 against Saints and now they are on 14 points instead of 8. That's huge. We've also done a lot of defending whichusually tells. Cust is off so that means Atkin at 6 and Borough will have to do a full game again. Saints will likely target him. Did Ormonroyd play the full half? He was really struggling for a period just after the 30 minute mark.

We need to start pushing up when we are defending stop letting them come to us and stop the offloads from happening then we can do this we can beat them if we do that and keep the discipline together ( hard with this ref so far )
Yeah Amir and Jake did full 40 minutes then . Long game for them both
