I meant to post to thank you for the recommendation. It was a walk down memory lane. Horrible muddy pitch but still trying expansive rugby.

I don't how it's come about but as well their as been a load of old Rugby League put on YouTube including Australian games also on it is the 1969 Cup final Salford v Castleford all the match I also watched Australia v GT Britain The last test of the series in 1974 in the GB team that day we had Dixon Hesketh Gill and Richards David Watkins was injured he was sumerising on the commentary listen to him and you will realise just what clowns are on sky I just thought some people would be interested that's why I started the thread.

It's a great reminder of all things Red Devil including how many skills players had and how some have disappeared from the game. I couldn't remember if I was there or with watching very bad reception of Aunty 2. It's also a bit of evidence that not everything has improved in the game because of the Aussies and much is far worse because of them.
I always felt SRD were too deep all the time in those days, I underdstood why but ......

Remember the game well...was there in the shed (as always) and went to the replay at a miserable and wet Wilderspool. We won the replay 10-5 Fielding & Richards with the tries I think if memory serves me correct.
