A lot of the stuff he did got swept under the carpet at Wigan so I’m glad we took a stand. He’s a great player and clearly by his own statement think he’s been hard done too heard some of the senior players in our squad weren’t a big fan of his actions to far enough best for all parties

Am I missing something in those articles? I don't see anything about a stag do? If that's what's he's done, and I'm assuming that people one hear have heard through the grapevine, that fair play to the club. Going on a stag do is a lot different to attending a wedding as we were first led to believe.
Anyway, it looks like he'll be moving Niall Evalds out of a staring spot... I wouldn't mind him back on the wing and as FB cover. You have to assume Hill KR will start with:
1. Hiku
2. Hall
3. Opacic
4. Gildart
5. Burgess
6. May
7. Lewis
Could Evalds be available?
With the forwards they've also signed they could be a real threat to the 'big' clubs this year. They could be worth a cheeky £10 on winning a trophy.

Also, does anybody know if he's been sacked for gross misconduct or released with a pay off? The statement doesn't mentione anything like 'released due to actions determined as gross misconduct' or anything like that. I'm assuming, and hoping, we got out of this with any financial commitment.

How disimilar is this to the nene macdonald Leeds situation? The guy walked out on the club mid season and yet we signed him.
Burgess bailed for a stag do ( can someone confirm this?) During pre season.Yet is binned off?
Gotta be more to it than this otherwise we are just hypocrites.
Either way, we move on. Guessing macdonald and Ryan as starting wingers with cross as back up.

Apparently, one of the other people on the stag do posted photos of them all on Facebook, including Joe Burgess in a Bar or Nightclub, When you post a picture on their and tag the Bar/Nightclub they posted it on their social media sites, It wasn't till they got back to their hotel they realised and spent the following hours pleading with them to remove the photos, Even if you remove a picture from Facebook If someone has saved it or done a Screen capture and forwards that around the Chattering types of Wigan it doesn't stay a secret very long. |

It's worth asking the question..Evalds signed a two year deal to play wing. They've signed Burgess to a one year deal. Burgess is a better winger so I assume after the season KR will juggle a few things so they can keep him. Moving Evalds on would solve that problem, though as you say, I don't think they'll do anything this off season as they've built an excellent squad with quality depth. Evalds, though, may not be happy with being relegated to the bench.As for wages, I imagine Budgie woild have been on twice what Evalds would have commanded, especially after two injury riddled years at Cas and little interest.
