I've said this before if their production lines are as wonderful as they're made out why do they need to sign so many from outside?
The RFL is preventing SRD from improving, what possible motivation could they have for that?
That’s sports for you mate you sign the best you can. It’s delusional to think Wigan don’t have a great academy half are players come from there . But as you say I don’t the the reason but without one we are always going to struggle Yes you sign the best you can afford. There's nothing delusional about the thinking academies aren't all they're cracked up to be, but that was only one part of the equation. It's also a bit like all the huge number of rubbish union signings that everyone forgets because we talk about Dai Watkins. Yes without an academy we'll struggle but it would have to be an SL one.

There is growing talk about us either signing or loaning Fouad Yaha from Cats. If we were in for Kershaw then surely the deal would have been done by now. Whilst Yaha is not the quickest if he's 5m from the line he is scoring. I'd take either at this stage to be honest both are decent options, Yaha must want first team action also.

As wingers go speed is important but which one is the most defensively sound might be the crucial point.
If Kershaw was that good he would've signed for someone by now, surely?
Seen much more of Fouad so my judgement would be skewed in his favour.
If SRD continue to play from far out Kershaw would seem the best bet, but a wing partnership of Hankinson and Yaha looks interesting for size and power.
Brenko Lee being mentioned with SRD but it's SARL so we'll probably sign Lee Mack!

Russ I know you have a down on union but in my time watching the Devil's I think we have had more good than bad converts I think that's interesting dixon, for the whole sport I would say the opposite is true, for SRD I'd say 60-70% were useless but the others coloured our experience.
The ones that did best tended to be the cream at the top of their game and were prepared to work or were young enough for their Vichy experience not to be too detrimental. What is always ignored is how League shaped them and made them far better players of those that succeeded.
In other words. as always, League is a sport with an inferiority complex that thinks the grass is always greener.

I wouldn’t say he was slow tbh but yes I’d prefer yaha over kershaw hopefully it comes of and maybe we can try get someone like Jordan dezeria aswell

Where did you hear this? A few of the Rugby sites, also a thread on a forum Yaha cannot be happy not playing Rugby. In addition I just do not see what we'd sign Branko Lee who is a centre. I know we are after an out and out Winger.

I'd take Dezeria from Cats, or Eseh or Hill on loan from Wigan. We need a Prop and a Winger before the season starts. The plus in reading the Ryan article Russ shared is that Ryan's try scoring rate is excellent.

I also put it on here because positive articles in general and from that source in particular are so few and far between.
And the forum needed a bit of positivity too!

It's very coincidental that talk of props & wingers on here is mirrored on SARL and used as a platform for old news dressed as new.

Although know it seems we are certain to sign Kershaw according to SARL. I am sure we will not sign Branko Lee as he is a centre. That leaves Kershaw who Leeds are not going to sign and must need a Club and possibly Yaha. We do not need a Centre, we need a winger. If we sign Kershaw and have money left for a big Prop I will be happy. With MacDonald/Ryan/Cross we have enough Wing cover with Kershaw if he signs. We only has 3 recognised wingers last season and a utility back. One thing I will say is that the club need to act quicker on the Burgess front. If he is in an internal disciplinary process then communicate this and if its serious move him on ASAP once the process is concluded, its a distraction for the squad.

Agreed looking forward to watching Ryan, he's has had a stop/start time at KR, their fans rate him so I am keen to watch him with game time.
