So where does the extra 1 point come from. Have the scores taken into account we now have an elite academy status? And what will the new lease offm the stadium give us next year? Doubt it as it’s based of the last 3 years where we had none or no stadium deal. There. Nothing to panic about this gets reviewed every year and we will get those points next season

When you look at the Breakdown it’s mainly our loss of points on Finance….loss of 2.35 out of 4.5….according to the Nov 2023 accounts we have large and increasing long term and short term debts
Loss 1 point for not winning a trophy and 1.2 for Stadium plus bits in other categories

I would love to see the breakdown of castlefords grading as I can’t see how they can be better than us other than financial and selling out the stadium

I assume the points for the academy and the extra income from food sales next year will boost our score
The easy points of LEDs and screen too can be easily got at too which I assume the others did this year

Got to get the Finances right next season
Also if we don’t come in the top 6 we’ll possibly lose points probably…Toulouse, London, Bradford all catching up as well

Though I'd look at the comparisons and the ones that baffles me (besides Wakefield) are Huddersfield and Castleford. I am intrigued to understand how Saints got a better score than Wigan given the complete domination this term. If IMG are about raising the game as a whole then I would hope they share what things clubs are doing that raise their scores by such a big amount. For us my guess is the Fandom, along with the stadium - just surprising that finishing 4th didn't give us a bit of a bigger lift
Club 2023 2024 Change St Helens 16.78 17.02 0.24 1.4% Wigan Warriors 16.87 16.91 0.04 0.2% Leeds Rhinos 17.49 16.84 -0.65 -3.9% Warrington Wolves 15.75 16.27 0.52 3.2% Hull Kingston Rovers 15.52 15.97 0.45 2.8% Catalans Dragons 16.73 15.52 -1.21 -7.8% Leigh Leopards 12.45 15.13 2.68 17.7% Wakefield Trinity 12.52 15.09 2.57 17.0% Castleford Tigers 12.16 15.02 2.86 19.0% Hull F.C. 15.05 14.51 -0.54 -3.7% Huddersfield Giants. 13.49 14.48 0.99 6.8% Salford Red Devils 13.80 13.97 0.17 1.2% Toulouse Olympique. 12.97 13.58 0.61 4.5%

Didn’t castleford say their rating had been calculated wrong too last year? So maybe that explains the bigger jump

A sorry inevitable.
It is a good idea that IMG were brought in given the RFL are impotent at raising the game.
However it’s Rugby League. The figures reveal IMG haven’t instilled a desire to raise the whole game. Continuing narrow interests from narrow minded villages.
Cas gaining full marks for their ground that is a tier 7 non league soccer dump. Wakey is basically as small crowds as us, relegated and a ground with only two stands. I smell a big rat with some submitted figures.
As for us. Upgrade from 11th to 4th, the stadium and academy deals and a debt mostly with the Council, which is akin to an investment. Yet the score tensely drops.
I can’t work out if it’s cock up or conspiracy or both.

Nothing to see here, accept and move on.Must try harder

Nice to see the club publish the breakdown. Proves what I know about Fandom (Nowt!). Not really a surprise finance and stadium were where we lost points. Honestly I feel very positive about what it shows, the club has the foundations to be a grade A and the recent changes announced show we are moving in the right direction. So big screen, LED's and a whip round to strengthen the balance sheet salfordreddevils.net/salford-red-devils-publish-img-grading-breakdown/

This sport is bent this grading proves it. How Cas and Wakey make grade A is anyone’s guess. As for Salford the board need a reality check in terms of where we are. Also what is the CBS doing around fan experience ?? There is a newly elected board from which we’ve seen no output around what will be delivered.

I suppose it all comes down to whether you believe that IMG have the correct focus and targets and that their system works, or not.
All this talk of "Fandom" etc reminds me, far too much, of other BS.
RL's problem is it's invisibility in media terms and that's not likely to change while the target is the game and the clubs. And there is also no evidence that these changes wouldn't have happened without IMG.
Ending up twelfth isn't the problem though it begs the question was was the point in winning all those games and points in the league if at the end of it you're in the relegation zone?
In the interim gradings we were given a B+ so, with the improvements in our status and condition can we be twelfth

Apparently the Club is appealing re that being a Community Club the Finance model does not align to the set IMG criteria and the Club are therefore disadvantaged in that they could not score in certain category areas
According to the Nov 2023 accounts, if I’m reading them correctly, we have bank loans increased by ~£500k to £2.48M…does this inc Covid loans, presumably not CVA ….and creditors in the short term category increased to £1.7M, presumably being factored….big total…but no detail Not sure if the Council are carrying some of those loans/ debts
Last season we had to raise about £1M by selling Dupree Croft and Ackers and the Community Share Option
So Finance it would seem could be our Achilles Heel

Yes and I think, given the new SC rules, the RFL are not even pretending to be anything else.
I did say a while ago that this process simply looks like a method for getting rid of some clubs and now we know which ones!
You can't though say it's bent on the hand and then blame the board for the result. If it's bent they wouldn't have been able to change it, if it's their fault it doesn't matter if it's bent.
By the way it's bent but for a deliberate reason and purpose.
