So Nene Macdonald confirmed, made even better as he's done a reverse Joel Moon on them Hetherington whiners.

I like Nene. I think he played his best rugby on the wing for Leeds. Still trying to figure out where he fits in and can only imagine Lafai moving on. Cross and Sio both signed when we could have let them walk. Unless Rowley plans to shift a layer to the back row but I don't see who. Lafai has skills but I don't see him as a SR or LF, it just doesn't fit his style and work rate. I can't se Nene there atm either but haven't seen him a lot. I could imagine Cross playing SR more than either of those.

There’s no way we’d get a few for Lafai due to his age and quota spot, so replacing Lafai with McDonald would be so stupid. As you say though he looks better on the wing which in hindsight probably means we should of let sio go

Play MacDonald in the Centre, Cross was ineffective for most of last year, Nene is quick and a big lad, will cause no end of issues for defenders.

That’s how I see him playing I wouldn’t be fussed if he was on the wing either definitely a strange move with the position we’re in more important we don’t have any quota spots so we’d have to find English replacements

Cross wasn't the only one who was ineffective. The entire three quarter line was average most of the time. I can only imagine Rowley is changing he position of a player (he's said on Sky he likes to get ex-backs into the forwards for their skill level) or Lafai is moving on. I know he's 32 but he's a quality centre in this league so there will be suitors. It wouldn't be a big transfer fee but we'd still get one. Plus Nene will be cheaper since Lafai signed his extension after making the Dream Team and so the wage bill is lowered.

You won’t get a fee for Lafai there’s only 2/3 clubs that have space and they won’t pay money for him. Maybe London but can’t see it

Got to say that whether it is wise to have MacDonald, Sio and Ryan together on the books, especially as the wages bills seemingly is being reduced, is this the best back line the club has had for a while?
