This is all very well, but it'll be consigned to history when a new backer comes in before the start of next season...

Why you winning lottery Carnster I can dream... I do with alloted imaginary meetings with Bleasy and a chequebook, "As I walk along the Bois de Boulogne With an independent air You can hear the girls declare "He must be a Millionaire." You can hear them sigh and wish to die You can see them wink the other eye At the man who broke the bank at Monte Carlo ..."

Watkins is by far the best and most important player at the Club…don’t even think about it

I think you’re looking at a rugby team too simplistically there. The players you’re naming a key to the attitudes that drive a squad. Watkins is the captain, he’s worth the money and ensures we stick to maintaining standards. Every player/interview says that Sio is one of the hardest working players in the squad. You can’t just replace that. I’d rather lose 1/2 players than gut the squad and replace with 5-7 alternatives I only suggested four players who are all entering age 33 and what could be their last or penultimate season. When Rowley came in we changed far more than four players and had a successful season. Rowley is responsible for the culture and driving his message. And yes, the players help to enforce that. I'm sure having Brierley, Croft, Burgess, Wright, Ackers, Atkin, and others will ensure we keep the right attitudes and stick to the culture, but it's still ultimately down to Rowley. As I say we'd all have different opinions and reasons for letting players to to reduce the bill. For me, I think if that matched funding could be coming in in 12-18 months we should be looking to keep players who can be a part of that journey (I'd build around Croft) and not those who will be retiring as we get the money. We could literally walk into an off-season in a couple of season with money for a 5-year plan and have several key starters (and others) retire. It's not just those guys (Sio, Watkins, Sneyd, Lafai) either, we are an ageing team, Brierley is 32 at the start of next season, Ackers 30, Jack O 32, Dixon 34, Sidlow 36, Hellewell 32, Singleton 31, Atkin 31, Gerrard 32, I may have missed others. I don't necessarily disagree with what you say and I don't think the club have any easy options. Moving only Croft and Olli may be enough, it may require another move or two on top, we'll find out. Maybe they go, maybe they don't. I'd just go about it differently by moving players who still have value we can recoup but may not be around in two years to take the exam forward if/when the matched funding comes in.

The Sub Committee meeting was held last night, there was some really positive contributions, more Owners need to get involved to make this happen but 30 plus are already involved. The situation is a simple one, we have current income of 3.1 mill and outgoings of 3.8 mill. This gap needs covering. Interestingly our attendances are up 92% from 2018, the average rolled out at 5,300 per game last year our best season at the stadium. As has been said the council deal for the stadium will get done and then we will have more control of the match day spend and experience. So if you are an owner and contribute to Business/Commercial, Fandom, Matchday experience ore Community then please get involved. The Club wants Owners to become Ambassadors.
So to all the negative contributors on this forum, stop reading the **** the media print. We are where we are, if we sell a player then we sell a player. The future of the club is much bigger than one individual player and it is time our fans accepted that. So if you truly want make a difference get involved, row the boat rather than moan.

You’re right the club is bigger than 1 player but my concern is when we lose better players we won’t be able to compete and crowds will drop. Us lot will still go but we have a lot of fair weather fans

We can impact other elements though like those the Sub Committees address.

Even Rowls and Bleasy can’t buy players with no money Why hasn’t the now extended Board got a plan after so long in charge…not a dig at the Board just curiosity that we’re now relying on another 30 people..KR are developing at a great rate with about 4 people? So what’s the Plan?
