Yes facts we don’t generate enough money but no one in rugby league does so without a benefactor your going to struggle so we struggle but you just keep saying we should generate but no club does so why we suddenly going to?!

You have to live within your means…Mr Micawber
Generate money or spend less…its called a Business Plan…which was apparently out by about £1M last year
I assume it’s better this year

As I've said before it's often very quiet on this forum we could certainly do with some positive news about next season which might create more interest and move the focus from the all negatives, at times it's like being back on Total RL with Martyn "laughing boy" Sadler and John "Forgetable Chuckle Brother" Drake!

www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c1474ry9g4zo.ampIt’s definitely a financial mess at Moor Lane and I doubt the Class ‘92 envisaged being still being in League 2 today. On the face of it their finances are reliant on away fans which can’t be sustainable in the medium term. It'll be interesting to hear the view of their fans who post on here SalfordSlim. Where do they go from here? Not really in the know regarding the finances but I think we averaged about 2800 last season which obviously doesn't generate a huge amount of income. My season ticket only costs around £200 I think and I'm not sure how many ST holders we have. In our first season in the EFL we sold 1900 but a lot of those also watch Utd (& to a lesser extent City) so crowds often fluctuate depending on whether any of those have matches that clash. There's definitely more of a focus on youth recently at the club which suggests the wage bill might have reduced as a few high earners have left the club. Like you say away support is a big earner for smaller clubs like Salford and filling the away end probably adds around 40% onto the crowd figures against teams like Port Vale, Bradford, Doncaster. As for longer-term planning stadium wise it obviously isn't a pressing issue with the club struggling somewhat last season. Crowds won't increase substantially until there's another promotion (which doesn't look likely this season) but then you'll still always have Utd/City on the doorstep. Does this sound familiar to anyone?🙂 I know there are some on here who really dislike Salford City but they're every bit a family club as SRLFC are. They just have rich owners.

I don’t think anybody dislikes Salford FC, in fact it would be great if Us. Salford FC and Swinton could all play at the Community Stadium and Sale went
I think the issue has been the Neville factor.

I do not understand why Gary Neville and his mates are looked upon in a negative way. I am also a Salford City season ticket holder (and Man City fan) but delighted that a group of successful footballers are putting money back into the sport that they enjoyed much success. Perhaps someone could explain.

I’m happy with him and his mates putting money in and hope Salford FC do well; it was the way him and our leaders were arrogantly putting the deal together with Sale to get us out of the then AJ that I disliked…seemed all underhand on all sides…a potential disaster for us…and an average of 2,800 in the AJ…come on

Spot on JJR the deal was underhand and as unsurprising as it gets.
Far too much talk about a football team and though I know it will upset some an inconsequential side in a ridiculously over inflated sport.
And having them appear here when there are far more important things to discuss begars belief!

What happened there - Did you resign or get chucked off Russ? Well as you know I'm prone to resigning but John Drake chucked me off, I don't think we ever agreed on anything in the entire time I was a member but to be frank I'm not altogether sure why I was evicted and suspect our differences meant he needed a pretext and found one.
The animosity of many posters on Total to everything SRD was huge compared with the few posters who were agreeable. As I've said being disagreeable is completely unnecessary and that was the case, more often than not, on Total.
Like many on social media sadly everything is fine when you agree with them or they agree with you, normally I'd've used the Labour Party analogy here but it's a bit too obvious at present.

If you watch the class of 92 on sky sports Salford city had a surprise inspection and was told if they want to continue to get promoted they would have to improve the stadium or move that’s what kicked off the whole stadium move saga and maybe that’s why the football aren’t to quick to get promoted again
Yeah it would be amazing to see Salford rugby Salford football and swinton all working together to make Salford a city of sports along with that place called Manchester
