And to think that English Premiership rugby union clubs receive £11m+ each from SKY which highlights the disparity between the codes. Having watched a few games from the RU World Cup which has been a painful watch at times and then you compare the speed and skill levels in the NRL grand final the latter is light years ahead in enjoyment terms. Only if a broadcaster would invest in and market the game properly here then we could grow the game to RU levels Yet Union is run and funded by the upper/middle classes who are so brainwashed into thinking it's a great sport when 95% of the time it's dogsh*t. If only someone with real cash could see how great a sport RL is and fund it properly. "Mr Salford" must make a fortune out of our sport but I bet he barely puts a penny back in despite his brand being plastered everywhere. Mr Salford is a football fan first but also RU fan and through his Peel Holdings mates has invested in RU via Sale Sharks. Both Fred and Peter Done have zero interest in backing Salford RD despite the odd podcast where he spouts this bullshit of “you never know I might invest one day”. It ain’t going to happen👹

Grand Final in Oz at another level, hence more income

Is it market price or is it poor negotiation and marketing, poor networking and engagement, poor planning and development? As I said above, I don't see how the sport could have lost almost 60% on value over three years. And 35% in two years.

How that is done is the big question

That Cleary is something else. What a game and comeback. So many great players on show!! Incredible achievement too for Penrith no matter how this has out in the finall two minutes. Four finals on a row and potentially three wins in a row. Far more difficult over there than Saints over here. As I mentioned previously they've lost Origin and International calibre players each season.which doesn't happen here. Saints were never losing Roby, Percival, Makinson, Walmsley, Welsby etc.

That can't have happened often (if ever?) in a GF. Great game though. I don't really have an NRL allegiance but was rooting for the Broncos due to Herbie Farnworth.

I hate Penrith with a passion, but what a game! Feel for the Broncos. They should never have let them back in it, but the Panthers are a team that you can't get slack on.

People who argue for this being the market are simply people willing to accept what they're given and told.

I feel sorry for the Broncos player who scored a hattrick and ends up losing.

No Saints are offside continually, lots of high tackles, always having a go at the ref and continually cheat (or play on the edge😉)

Croft…No Club Statement, so as ‘the Club are looking at the Financial Situation’, then his moving on is a possibility/ probability…but why don’t the Club keep the supporters informed on this, or indeed anything? c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1199047459?-44757:31536At least he’s not going to zLeigh But then again if there no money then we don’t get new forwards and possibly lose players…hence no rumours of incomers

They were doing the rounds before the start of the season. No doubt that Croft is on a few radars but that 'news' article tells us nothing we didn't already know. I think it's a stretch, what you're doing with the rest of your post. Croft will move on at some point and it's totally pointless for the club to make a weekly statement about Croft, because that's the amount of stories and that's what you're asking them to do. Maybe just stop being critical for the sake of it. When the club deserves it by all means, but squeezing in criticism where it doesn't need to be, or indeed, with every post is tiring.
