2 annoying Saturday kick offs during the football season.🙄 Whilst no direct clashes with Utd & City on either date (no PL games on 7th September), those of us that follow lower league football clubs are again forced to decide between the rugby or the footy. If Super League insist on having Saturday matches then I seriously hope that next season they only have 1 Saturday evening slot (7.45/8pm). There's no excuse to be clashing with football & amateur rugby, it's not gonna draw TV viewers, it's just feckin stupid. The kick-off times were changed at the request of those that must be obeyed. Good article with nikorima and I'm really looking forward to watching him.
The Hallowell signing really does my head in.
What has he done to deserve a contract?
We bang on about having a tired squad and due to the size of it I understand why.
However, we then sign a guys whose played less than a 100 minutes and I guarantee will have a big injury again next year.
Ridiculous signing, may as well get Dixon and sidlow signed up now as well

K he’s a grafter when he plays; one of the often unsung heroes…and won’t cost much
Presumably the physios and medics have checked him out. To me a good squad player knows the game inside out and worth a punt.

You can pick up young lads who are grafters, have no past injury history and you can develop over time. This just makes no sense to me and is just pishing money (we don't have) up the wall on players that add nothing to our squad. Why are we making the same mistakes again and not learning !!! |

He played 19 games for us last season and 5 this year before he got injured which means he's played more games than Sidlow & Dixon put together. Since 2015 he's averaged around 25 games a season. For me he's worthy of the extension. The other 2 should be out the door come September and we can look at bringing in young & hungry lads to replace them. |

A decline then the last 2 years when he's stepped up to SL. What the last 10 years average has to do with it im not sure. The point is his body is struggling and he's gonna be 33 next season and he will carry the history of these injuries into that season. Agree sidlow and Dixon need to go, but helliwell is next in line and can go for me. However, he's not so I pray he gets fit and stays fit. But it won't happen and he will get a big injury at one point next season. This was an opportunity to bring more young lads in, which we've not take |
