Anyone else get an e-mail about this this morning?
I guess the club are just sounding out if they've got their pricing structure correct before they start releasing ST prices for next year but it was difficult to complete the survey as I don't have knowledge of what the current pricing structure is for each option (South/West/Platinum etc). Would've been good if the club could've added that pricing info into the survey so we could give an honest judgment on whether we're too cheap/expensive.
Personally I think my ST is too cheap at £209 for South Stand as it's early bird offer price. That works out at £16.09 a match which is a bargain. I'd happily pay extra if that balance was invested in the squad.
If the club offered say the same price for next season with the option of paying extra for that money to then go directly into strengthening the squad I'd be all for it. I already pay into the Golden Gamble etc and buy tickets for as many club related events as I can and that extra £40 a year ain't gonna kill me. Either that or do away with early bird offers and leave them as an offer only to entice new fans.
Thoughts?

Also had a bit of difficulty when I tried the survey. I don't know what my season ticket costs. I was going to have to give it up a couple of seasons ago and members of my family have been buying it as a joint birthday/Christmas present since. I just went with gut instincts on what would constitute value rather than reflecting what I can or can't afford.

I reach 60 on Monday and therefore eligible for the discounted ST but I’m fortunate enough to pay more than the discounted price. Having said that I’m a Founders share owner and I also contribute monthly to RDTV, the club lottery, the Supporters Trust membership, sponsor a try and buy lots of raffle tickets for the various Supporters Trust raffles. So I guess they all mount up😂

I've received the email but haven't looked at the survey yet. My thoughts have always been that: 1) there shouldn't be an early bird - those going early bird are buying a season ticket either way (I get the cash flow aspect but it's lost revenue), or it should be increased - £16 is very cheap. Even £19 is a good saving and prices should probably be going up anyway. 2) It should be 65+ and not 60+ for the concession discount - I know it varies from club to club and across sports but it's lost revenue. Again, I don't think those people are coming because it's cheaper. 60-64 year old away fans who travel to away games will still be coming either way - they pay the prices at other clubs. I also doubt it factors in to the decision of current season tickets holders either, since they are already season ticket holders.

I haven't had the email yet but as I see it if the club are making offers and making it more affordable then that is a good thing. You say the 60+ should be 65+ as its lost revenue but that isn't necessarily the case. A season ticket is upfront guaranteed income and that person spends money at the ground be it through drinks, raffles etc. That principle could apply right across the price spectrum. In the current climate the club does not want to be pricng people out.

As ever cashflow is king and the early bird option is vital to the club’s coffers at a time when it can’t raise other income yet it’s still paying salaries all the way through the close season.

In the current climate the club does not want to be pricng people out. It's shouldn't be too cheap though. £16 a game is far too cheap for an early bird. As for 60+ and 65+. A lot of clubs have concessions at 65+ and not 60+ (the pension age has risen above this for many people now and let's remember that concession is supposed to be aimed at people who are retired). IMO it is lost revenue. A fan who is a season ticket holder before 60 isn't going to stop being a season ticket holder at 60 because they don't get a concession discount. As for new fans, how many fans are likely to start coming to games at the age of 60-64? It's a small age range and they are likely set in their habits. Season tickets holders in that age bracket have likely been season ticket holders for many years. As for away fans, those that go to away games are paying full price at the clubs who have concessions set at 65+, they won't stop coming.

The questionnaire is awful to me. It’s so vague
Anyway, if cash flow is an issue then potentially do a monthly subscription . Say for example £30 per month which includes season ticket and maybe 1/2 upgrades per season if wanted.

I have not seen the questionare,I think the club should charge what they think is the right amount. Then people have to decide if they can afford it,I wouldn't get into the well I can afford it,then so should everyone else. The early bird offers,I think every club as them I think with Wilky you also got a shirt. I think the concession happens in sport entertainment and such like I think more like a right of passage when I started work the retirement age was 65 I think some people use that figure
