I couldn't make the open day today. Can anybody let me know how it went and anything if note that was said? Did the away kit get an airing? Thanks

Bleasey said "Hel...a.....b..t...an....sorr....microph......not work.....ag..n...b....ah......c..", and Marwan said "A.....s....b..mate....Derek Beaum....fat bas.....c....lose...15 stone.......ah...bloody mic......not wor.....a....t"
Apart from that, they're raffling the actual ball that Gareth O'Brien got the drop goal with (signed by Gareth himself), they're hoping to start a Greater Manchester wide academy but probably not this season (and they think other Super League clubs will start merging academies soon), The Family Koukash have no interest in Bradford Bulls, and at some point over the next three to four months, Salford will announce a new partnership with an NRL club.
Think that was about it.

Same as (most of) last year: Michael Dobson captain, Mark Flanagan vice-captain.

Another couple of points I've just remembered. Firstly, Bleasey said there'll be no off field traumas this season. He said that at the Q&A event last month too. It's almost like he's saying "don't be a dick this year" to someone in the club. Secondly, Logan Tomkins had a big pot round his ankle. Plenty of time before the start of the season though.
Edit And another bit.... They're intending to put some sort of commemorative plaque or statue or something on the site of the Willows, and are looking for ideas. The Etihad used to have the B In The Bang, symbolising the very start of a starting pistol going off. We always seem to be teetering on the edge of some self-inflicted disaster, so maybe we could have the F In The **** Up.

I'll be very disappointed if it isn't a statue of the Willows' finest moment - Richard Webster absolutely smashing Jason Critchley.

Whatever it turns out to be, it's right and fair that the old lady is commemorated in some form. Lots of memories of matches there. Many will have more memories than me

Maybe they Salvaged few of the tiles from the infamous Wall of Pee urunal to the right of the shed.the one with no roof on. The only problem is it's stored in the Legendary Area 51 type Warehouse owned by John wilkinson with all the Fixtures & Fittings from the Willows. Including the piece of turf we were all promised for buying a Season ticket at the first season at the City of Salford stadium.

The only thing that worried me about the open day was when Ian Blease said he and Marwan are having a meeting with the RFL about marketing. It worries me because I don't think the RFL market the whole sport in any way. It's seems as non existent at Red Hall so can't figure out what they'll be able to help them with.

Well the whole of the RFL’s commercial and marketing operation is now based on Salford Quays. So, they might as well pop down.

I suppose they'll be able to get some top tips on how not to do it! Seems that Uncle Gary isn't happy about RFL marketing activity either.
