Tyler is certainly being cast as the pantomime villain-being old enough to remember us selling Groves, Whitfield, Stephenson, Coley, Myler , BMM etc etc over the years is this not another we are selling because we are skint scenario ?

It is a bit rich to be fair as we basically took him from Widnes and Widnes likewise from Oldham. So am not a big fan of this "how dare they/him" Easy solution, sell him and hit the £250k mark earlier. Happy days, clubs secure, we've signed a load of players on long term deals and benefited from it.
Stop the vitriol and just move on

I too go back a long way and have seen similar scenes but the one nearest is Coley who was mugged by Wigan with a big deal yet we saw him playing down his contract in a very poor way. It had a dampening effect on the team, the fans and the Board. We must not let it happen again. Lance the boil Mr Blease. Do the best deal you can and get him away from the club ASAP. He's finished as a player for Salford.

this not another we are selling because we are skint scenario ? That's very true.
But it may suggest it is just that when that's the big lie/rumour.

Stop the vitriol and just move on All players will have a clause in their contract if a club is offering them SL rugby and they're a championship/L1 player. The issue here is handing in a transfer request after barely half a season. Let's be straight here, KR are offering him big money and Harris is going to make a tidy packet on any transfer hence he's obviously recommending the move to Dupree. The club should milk every last penny out of KR (or any other club). There are ways and means of getting yourself a big money move, walking into the CEO's office demanding a transfer request and going public isn't the way to do it. The least he could do is respect the club and the fans.

I think once they wish to leave that's the end and I also think Bleasy might be doing good business here.
"Stop the vitriol and just move on" good suggestion can we have it for everything please?
I still maintain if his agent is Harris they should call a halt to doing business with him ever.

And it now starts every fan of every other club off discussing who they should be targeting at Salford "because we're skint". Hull forum already saying they should be after Lafai, Acker & Burgess.👶

I’m sure we’d be discussing about who we should get from Hull….but who would you want after their last performance against us?

Harris is using `They Are Skint` comment to line his own pockets. Agree with Russ. Formally inform him that he is `persona non gratia`(an unacceptable or unwelcome person:)

Best we can hope for here is that Wigan or Warrington enter the frame for Tyler. If we could get a £150k for him and maybe a player in return then we have done really well for not even 1 seasons development.

I don't think its wise to alienate Harris, we need to be pragmatic and persuade him to up his game, because: 1- He may be the Agent of a player that we want. 2. He may become the Agent of one of our stars like Croft and if we've alienated him, then what do we do? 3. We are showing that we're above base behaviour and honourable and so the right kind of players and Agents will see that and want to deal with us.

I certainly wouldn't worry about the half dozen or so fantasists on the hull fc forum and their wish list of signings. They have around 350 PAGES of potential/wanted/nailed on signings but i don't think ANY of them have come to fruition. One thing is for sure they certainly can't afford transfer fees.

We are showing that we're above base behaviour and honourable and so the right kind of players and Agents will see that and want to deal with us. Agree. We can't start alienating agents. It's not like we are the biggest club in the world and have our pick of players. Besides, while this is a s**t tactic - making it public, it's a well worn agent tactic to apply pressure to a club. Ideally, this would all be done privately, but my guess is that the club have stood their ground and said no. So, Harris has told Dupree about the bids and what money is on offer. Understandably, he'd want to go and take that pay bump. The club continue to stand their ground and so Harris has made it known publicly to try and force our hand. Unfortunately, the typical bet result of this is that the player gets their move. Fans get antsy and angry. Social media blows up. Newspapers jump on board. It creates unwanted unrest and a distraction, which means the best result is to move on. From what I understand KR want him for next year, so the best we can likely hope for it, a hefty fee and Tyler committing for the rest of the season. That also gives the club time to assess the market and look at how to reinvest it. Wakey seem set to go down and Eseh would be my target. Big lad. Young player of the year in the Championship - like Tyler. Singleton adds experience next season. A player like Norman would add size and be worth a look at whether we could polish him. I doubt we'd be able to get a player like Nsemba or Hill given they'll be under contract. Let's not forget, Tyler has been good this year, but he isn't a game breaking prop. He has a big engine to do lots of minutes and could become a barnstorming prop but he isn't there yet (and may never be). I actually thought King put in our best prop performance of the year against Hudds, though Tyler has been the best overall, for sure. If we can get 150k - 250k, keep him this year and get someone like Eseh (or another project), I'd say that's a win for the club. Or, if he goes this year, see if they will throw in Luckley on loan for the year as a replacement and we can maybe get a player like Dudson on loan too. Right now I'd give KR a price. Make that price known to other clubs too. Then focus on re-signing Wright and King.

When somebody wants to buy something off you, you’re in the best negotiating position. Blease was an agent knows all the other agents, some good some bad. This time we don’t have to sell unlike when Obrien, Ben MM went We have a quota spot left and I’m sure he’ll be winding the big clubs up to make counter bids.
Dupree, coming good but only really potential for me…in the Test he didn’t play or do much, he’s a bit hot headed and he’s not got loyalty, not a team man, so can you rely on him? Why has he only just started to shine/ is he really that good and can he stick the pace?
Harris, presumably still bitter about his days with us, and like a lot of agents…money before decency
So we’re in control, which is the main thing and I’m sure if/when he goes, Bleasy will negotiate the best deal for us…..Dudson + one of their young props + £150k would be ok
