Here is what the website has to say about Salford's chances this season: "Bottom of the Table: Looking at recruitment at this stage of the pre-season, it will be no shock to see either Huddersfield or Leeds fall in the bottom 4 again. However, it will be Salford Red Devils who find themselves bottom of the league in 2017. Twitter Meltdown: Salford will struggle again in 2017, with little changes made from their 2016 squad. Marwan Koukash will have some wine on a Sunday evening following a succession of defeats and threaten to quit Super League, saying the sport needs him more than he needs it". Personally, I think they've got this wrong. Maybe not so much Koukash's Twitter meltdown as that will inevitably happen at some point, but I don't see us finishing bottom of the pile. We could even be the surprise package this season.

Nothing but pre-season news-fill.
To make a full season prediction before a game has been played is just nonsense.

Well the first 5 fixtures are
Wigan (H)
Huddersfield (A)
Leeds (A)
Warrington (H)
Wakefield (A)
So if we manage to get 3 wins out of them then it will set us up nicely for the season.

It'll be tough to get points from 3 of those first 5, particularly when we're first up against Wigan. But I remember thinking that last year when Saints rolled in to town for the first home game, 44-10, jobs a gudden.!!! Season ticket paid for itself already!!!!
Let's hope there's plenty of support for that first match and we can push them all the way.

We won't beat Leeds away. We never do. But I will stick my neck out and say that we will win the other 4. Pre season optimism maybe, but why not?

Most pundits have us bottom or in the bottom four and weirdly Schoefield say we'll be in the top eight!

I'm amazed the incredibly accurate 18thman have spelt Sladofr right.
That good Neil Barker/Marion would think twice about working for them.

This is not worth any comment.
We've improved as a squad on certain areas but most teams have improved their squad more. Leigh are getting together a good unit and Wakey seem to be getting a handy group on board. When not wearing my Devil's hat it all looks very interesting.

Just shows that he hasn't done his research. Marwan has gone all Straight Edge or something and is off the sauce at the moment, so his next Twitter meltdown won't be red wine fuelled. It'll be a Clean & Serene Twitter meltdown.
