According to Aaron Bower writing for thirteen the following are our OOC players status so far
Not yet determined: Danny Addy, Matty Costello, Rhys Williams, Deon Cross, Amir Bourouh, Adam Sidlow, Ben Hellewell.
Terms not offered: James Greenwood.
Absent from list: Chris Atkin, Ken Sio, King Vuniyayawa, Shane Wright.
Definitions:
Not yet determined means that their current club have yet to decide whether or not to table a new contract. They are, of course, also free to discuss terms with other clubs now the May 1 deadline has passed
Terms not offered means they will be leaving their current club at the end of the season, and have been told no new contract is forthcoming
absent from the list but is out of contract could mean one of three things. One: they have been offered – and even already agreed – a new deal for 2024. They may also have been offered new terms but turned them down – which is why, for example, Owen Trout is not on Huddersfield’s list. The other is that they have already accepted a contract elsewhere.
I think we’ve heard Sio has signed a deal and strong rumours Wright will. I hope we keep Atkin and would be surprised if we don’t. I would keep King too if the deal isn’t too expensive but I guess it depends who else we have lined up
Greenwood only one def being released apparently. Good player but not fit often enough sadly.

Must sign: Wright
Must with a but: Cross - unless Gildart which looks unlikely, though I'd still sign Cross and move him to the wing over an aging Sio. Atkin - I can't see it, but Peachey - that money could definitely be better spent elsewhere, like Trout. King - we need more middles and I assume Singleton will replace Sidlow who is 35 and spent most of the year injured. Sio - depends on other moving parts. I think he's 34 next season, still excellent, but maybe we intend to play Ryan there and use Sio's money in the forwards - I think this would be a good idea. I'd love to see us in the running for Trout. Him, Tyler, Singleton, Jack O, King, and Gerrard would be a quality front-row. Longstaff - I know he isn't on that list but I believe he is OOC with the Wolves and he's not put a foot wrong for us. Knows his way to the line and is young.
Would like: Costello - decent cover at C and never complains about not being a regular
Depends: Williams - If Sio did move on, I have also seen the rumour he's heading back to Oz and Ryan replaced him, then Williams would remain good cover. Adam Sidlow - 36 next season and spent most of this year injured. Would be happy for him to be a 6th prop if he was cheap Amir Bourouh - I don't think he's SL standard but if he's cheap and a 3rd hooker I think he's a good signing.
Happy to see them move on: Danny Addy - often injured and he hasn't proven to be SL standard Ben Hellewell - plenty of SR options
Terms not offered: James Greenwood.

I thought we signed Sidlow on a 2 year contract didn't we which means he's here unless he can't shift his injuries and agrees to terminate his contract.

I thought we signed Sidlow on a 2 year contract didn't we which means he's here unless he can't shift his injuries and agrees to terminate his contract. We did. Agree with most of the above, although have not been too impressed with cross this year so wouldn't lose any sleep with him going elsewhere and replacing (potential overseas spot) Sio for another year, as is still class when not falling in pot holes. Borough replacement is an interesting one. Do we go for another youngster with potential or a strong deputy for ackers, as look lost when he doesn't play (thankfully not that often) Greenwood to retire and I'd like to keep long staff as he definitely has something and is still a baby so could really crack on under Rowley next couple of years.

I think Cross showed enough last year to warrant an extension as a centre or winger. Our entire right edge hasn't been good this year. Croft hasn't hit his straps. Cross and Sio have been far less effective. Brierley chiming in hasn't been the same either. Watkins hasn't made as many breaks off Croft. The left has obviously missed Lafai. Our defence has won us games this year. If the attack can start getting into great like the second half of last season that we have a real shot at silverware. Warm weather is coming 😁

So if we're looking to find another Dupree or Cross then maybe it's worth keeping an eye on Ellis Robson? Looked a decent prospect when we had him on loan in 2021 and Wire binned him off meaning he's now over at Keighley. I know we're not short on 2R's but if a couple do move on he could be worth a punt.
Would love us to unearth a real flyer from somewhere who could play across the backline. Wonder if there's a SSI who's not quite made 1st grade NRL who could be tempted across to further his career.

Lachlan Walmsley (Halifax) looks to have some potential and has a great try-scoring record. He'd be relatively cheap and would be worth a two-year contract to see how he goes in a FT setup. He wouldn't have the pressure to start straight away. Bailey Antrobus at York is another who I'd like to see given a shot in a FT setup. I thought he looked decent for Wales.

Any more rumours/news on our OOC list?
Particularly Wright, king, Cross, Sio?

Not much. I've heard: 1) Wright has been offered a deal but that was at least a month ago 2) Nothing on King 3) Nothing on Cross 4) Rumours that he's been offered a two-year deal and that he's going home, but again, that was at least a month ago
