He'll have probably put any and all assets of worth in his wife's and/or daughter's name. This way he can then drop all his personal debts and start again (after selling some/all of the assets he transferred before being declared bankrupt)

Good job he went when he did after a dire tenure at the helm. It is not luck nor coincidence that our fortunes have changed since Koukash has gone, I'd credit the club as a whole. The best outcome now is that we are able to push the Community Ownership model and prosper. Salford Red Devils will certainly trend this afternoon.

As Ive always said without him we couldn’t be discussing the Club inSL because it wouldn’t be here and for that I’ll always thank him…although most won’t. I think his main problem here was the people he trusted to get the job done…Nobby etc took him for a ride ‘Dire tenure at the helm’ cost him £5m, or 20x what the Clubs aiming for now and he took on Watson and Blease…so let’s be thankful for what he did….and he never fancied Moor Lane😉, but that’s not his legacy…

Nobody fancied moor lane but it might have had to happen because the people who run the club weren’t willing for it to go bankrupt by being silly with money!as for koucash I have it on very good authority that he really didn’t put anywhere near certain figures into the club people think he did in fact he used the club against things to leverage money and then left club with the debts to pick up!

I forgot LHR you are the man with friends in high places or you might be in high places😉
Of course he didn’t save the Club nor put up funds for Hastings, nor bring in Blease and Watto….so it might be just 15x what the Clubs trying to generate now
I’ll not say anymore on the matter but of course nobody can remember the excitement he caused nor the fact that he always faced his critics publicly and generally and openly stated his intentions for all to see…so feel free to play him down because I seem to be the only one who can say the positives about him…but the good thing is you can have a go because th3 Clubs still here😉

Might have known we would have the usual suspect(s) extolling the virtues of the crook Koukash. The man who scrapped the academy, brought in players on ridiculous wages and contracts, tried to change the clubs name to Manchester then spat out his dummy and left us with even more debt. What comes around goes around. Karma is a wonderful thing.

There’s nothing more to say he genuinely did not put money into the club he put everything against the club the books don’t lie trust me!but hey good old marwan scrapped the academy owed money all over nearly got us relegated and the biggest one of all he’s bankrupt that says all you need to know about the man!

I hate to see anyone go bankrupt and feel sorry for him. He did bring excitement to the club but also very poor management. He did save us at a time when it looked like we could go into adminstration but the left us with a bunch of debts after he left. Yes he wiped off £5 million (I can't verify the figure but that's what was touted) but that was mostly debt he created by signing terrible players to silly contract and more of less openly breaking the salary cap.
That initial excitement quickly turned into a mismanagement **** show. I don't completely blame him. He was brash, reactionary, not one for planning long-term. He wanted quick success with a new plaything. You can't just get that even with money... how many Grand Finals have Warrington won? As I say, I blame a lot on the poor advice he took on recruitment. Noble is totally to blame there. Tony P and Meli are prime examples of good players well past their best. We signed Chase, Hock, Smith, and Locke... all very good players on their day. All with off-field demons. That's not how to build a culture. One of them, sure, all of hen, no way. Terrible signings.
He paid for Hastings and that was huge for us that year. I thank him for that. I'm not going to totally bash the man. I think he wanted to do well, he just didn't know how to. He went about things wrongly and listened to the wrong people. He has done some good things for the club. It erase the huge amount of negative things though.
It's clear that we are much better run off the pitch now. We quietly go about our business. Have forged links. We've made astute signing and extended players. We've expanded our non-first team activities. All this had been done while run by fans and with a limited number of staff. We're heading in the right direction and we all need to get behind the club and do what we can to help. Let's leave the past in the past and wish Marwan well for the future.

And though I think some posts go a bit too far I understand why even if I don't agree. And I miss the fun and the excitement from those times TBH.
It is well run now and I think Nobby should get the ..... er "credit" he deserves too.
As for Marwan I just wish everything works out for him.

Remember, filing for bankruptcy doesn't mean he's got no cash. Just a way to readjust his business. It's not like you'll see him buying £3.80 Aldi Red and standing in line at Greggs waiting to buy a reduced cheese and onion pasty...
