Regards to the Sportsman’s dinners they could be run at local amateur sides who have the facilities. That way the club will make money from ticket sales and local clubs benefit from bar sales Great way to strengthen bonds with local clubs 👍👏

I'm not sure I understand. The lottery is aimed at current fans, sure, but it's changing jow we currently do it with a view to growth down the line and beyond our borders so to speak.
The share scheme will continue, selling through the site just lower our fees as a club, but I agree, the current pitch is largely focussed on fans. We do need to develop a wider-community pitch, where people (who don't lie rugby) want to invest for what we do in the community and not because they are a fan of the sport. That begins with increasing our community footprint.
Events, is about new things and our community footprint. Two yearly Salford festivals, which have nothing to do with rugby, are aimed at the entire Salford community with the aim of increasing awareness, generating further income, benefiting from free press, attracting sponsors and commercial partners, and embed ourselves further into the Salford culture. Similarly, Sportsperson's dinners can be targeted at businesses and sponsors as well as fans. Events, as suggested by SS, would be targeted at the entire Salford Community as a fund night out, not just fans, it's about generating name rugby income through food, drink, and tickets, whole also increasing awareness.
Tag tournaments, school leagues, and taking it on the road, is about helping new people find the sport and develop a love of Salford Rugby Club. And using the tournament platform to attract sponsors for the event - let's aim high and contact sportswear companies about sponsoring sports tournaments. It'd be a drop in the ocean for them but positive press.

MTR, We invested two years of effectively free consultancy time using fundraising experts, both soft and hard funding, experts on community funding Euro teams and visited a range of Community funded sports initiatives. It was ignored as the Club said it had a better way, whatever that was. At least we can say that it was a forerunner of the latest rather lukewarm version. So I think we’ve paid our dues MTR, but sadly the Club never took up the sponsors or process we’d developed, but such is life, we move on, the time wasn’t totally wasted and it’s in the past. The £100: will probably be popped in Emotion no; fundraising is a business aspect in a v special and defined way…we spent years understanding it and have raised rather large sums. The problem with it is everybody thinks it’s easy and they know how to do it but it’s an art…that’s why charities pay megabucks for their fundraisers and we’d worked with a range for years.
But good to see the Club moving forward, starting to clear its debts and be good to see how it raises future years funds
I promise MTR I hopefully won’t say any more on the matter😉 Keep going mate I really admire your passion, you should be on that Board

Your £100 will give you the opportunity to use your expertise JJR and draw on those past experiences. There are going to be sub-committees to help drive and manage change.
