I give up, I’m lost …read the Guardian and you’ll understand what journalism is all about…probing, testing, analysing.
The UKs media isn’t all about Facebook Twitter Mirror and all the other rubbish. Not much left tho. That’s why I don’t bother with all that crap. Keep reading it if you wish but it’s not journalism
So end of from me Russ, I’ve no idea what you’re on about mate. Enjoy the rugby.

I think the article and constant reference to former benefactors and who has or hasnt given the biggest PG is now irrelevant. We should now focus on the fan owned (and funded/controlled) transition and see what our collective efforts can bring..Drop the egos, its not a one man club, work together and look forwards!

Will the powers that be really want to work together now? The past is not a good indicator.

Honest question JJR - ‘the powers that be’ what is your issue with Paul King?? Under the new structure he will be employed and accountable to the owners. I like many others think he’s done a great job the past 5-6 years.

Do you ever think you might need some sort of counselling JJR? You very rarely get any level of agreement from anyone on here with the vast majority of your views so unless we're all wrong then maybe, just maybe you need to take a step back and re-evaluate whatever agenda it is you've got. It's almost like the good old Scarlet Turkey days when LWS had a massive chip on her shoulders because (IIRC) she was turned down for a job at the club.

Well working together is a great idea and a collective although fraught with problems will always be a step up and on from the Devil take the hindmost, but you can't shout unity and forgat the past when you're critical of each other and bring up the Scarlet Turkey.
I'm really intrigued and interested in how this will all work for SRD.
Does buying a share mean everyone will want a say? Will they be at Board meetings?

Nah it's like everything in life, some people will push themselves forward to the front and be involved in committees etc, some will happily be led/guided by others and only vote once a year when board re-elections come round. This doesn't make anyone better than anyone else, it's just how people are.
It won't be a problem though as anyone who has bought a share ultimately wants what's best for the club and we have enough people fully invested to make this work.

The idea it looks like is that rather than everyone posting great ideas on social media or discussing between themselves they can join one of the committees relevant to their area of interest ie a focus group.
Presume the beat ideas are passed up to the board who then activate them.
And members with time on their hands can provide operational support.
Agree it will take time to organise and improve but the ownership gives us more buy in judging by the support shown so far.

Well I hope the ideas are better than Andy Rosler on his bike going round collecting a pound a day ad infinitum off all the fans to buy the ground; a bean counter never fails to amuse.

I'm really intrigued and interested in how this will all work for SRD. Does buying a share mean everyone will want a say? Will they be at Board meetings? Imagine having 800+ at a baord meetings, we'd have to book a weekend away 🤣 PK will be the MD and accountable to the board, which is why he isn't running for a board position. Anyone who is an owner can put themselves forward for a position on the board and be voted in by the other members. I believe all the current board will resign at some point so a new board can be appointed - I believe somw of the current board do plan to put themselves forward. It'll be interesting who else comes forward and how that is pitched. You are going to have to gets votes from owners who hopefully vote on skills and not for friendship. There will also be sub-committees set up where groups can discuss ideas, share knowledge, and use their skills to benefit the club. I now the club are currently pulling together ideas that come through to them. Their focus is obviously on the Crowdfunder atm. But, once this structure is in place, we'll be in a better position as a collective to discuss the ideas that have come in. I'm also very interested to see who the new non-executive directors are. Shah is one and has great experience to bring to the fore. And I'm sure the other will have similar expertise they can lend to help drive us forward.
