Can the Supporters Trust liaise with the Club?? if there is a need for income in the short term then lets find a solution together. We all want the best outcomes for the club and Paul King (The Board) need our full support and backing.

Sadly as I previously said Utd are in an F A Cup quarter final at home on Sunday at 4-30. It's going to be a major hindrance. Should've looked at bringing ko for our game forward to either 1pm or 2pm. Also would've allowed families more of the afternoon/evening to celebrate Mother's Day.

20k sounds more like Sky! I bet you're right. I just don't think there is much appetite for Rugby in our area. Though I do think if we won a few things we coould attract in the region of 7k-8k. I don't think we'd every average 10k-13k ever (unless we had a celebrity takeover like Wrexham!). Saints are around 11k with all their success; Hull FC are around 10.5k with little success.
Rugby needs better ways to engage fans. I have a few ideas I was thinking of putting in a blog post, on the back of IMGs ideas. One things I think that should be a big focus is tag rugby. The NFL promote American football globally and have a big focus on flag football for engagement. Anyone can play and it doesn't require the physical contact aspect of the game. I think rugby would do well to focus in schools on promoting tag rugby. It only needs a ball and tags so has a low investment. Kids would enjoy the running around without the fear (for those not accustomed to the sport) of being tackled. It's super simple to pkay. It can be played on a concrete playground so doesn't need grass. It might get them interested in participation and watching games more.

To be fair i don't think you can compare hull fc's attendances. I doubt if any but their most avid fan would agree their attendances are massaged. Ever since their agreement with the Hull City led Stadium Management Company (20/21 years ago) they are given FOC 1500 seat tickets whether they are occupied or not as part of the agreement. This figure is included in the attendance figures for every home game. Primarily i would suggest to 'impress' IMG they have this season introduced a ticket for a pound for children (not sure if it's per game or per season) which boosts attendances if the fixture isn't followed by a school day. I think if you read back through their forum on RLFANS a lot of their supporters posted their astonishment to attendance figures released by the club during the later stages of Hodgson's tenure

Just had a chat with someone who spoke to Paul king,I think Paul is getting close to calling it quits he’s remortgaged again and at the moment looks like 2500 for Sundays game, the offers he’s put forward for Sunday have sold 4 tickets!he said the hull kr gate was 5500 but only 3800 paying, without people saying it’s there own fault what should and could the board do?ive told Paul he needs to come out to the public and tell them everything that even after hull and the contract extensions it’s not enough and genuinely it’s not looking good,he said he dsnt want to be the one who takes us into admin, but without the Salford public getting on board it will happen!I know people slagged koucash for Manchester but things have not improved and if the public want a team in Salford it’s up to them!I have told him to go supporters trust and get help the message needs to be out there! I made this point on the News thread. To LH Reds passionate post above (Attendances) about the commitment of Paul King in terms of his personal investment and ticket sales for Sunday, I was impressed with the way the players have got behind the initiative and the club have tried marketing from a different angle. It costs nothing and makes the offer more compelling, I'd urge everyone to share this on their Socials its the best possible way of marketing the club. Lets get sharing there posts, if another 100 turnout that is positive.

Also think we as a club need to co ordinate more with the supporters trust but appreciate Sunday is tactical so we need to get sharing.

4,775 yesterday which is not bad given Utd were on TV and it was Mothers Day. If we can get average attendances over 5k this season then that will be progress.

4,775 is actually a decent crowd considering that there isn't that many free tickets in that total. Also the away support hasn't been up to much in our two home games. Looking forward, can't see that improving with Huddersfield, Castleford and Catalans our next three home games. So need to keep home support on the upward spiral. A win at Wigan will do that. I Can see 1500-2000 booking for Wigan so at least extra revenue for the club if bought direct from Salford.

Must have been around 4,500 paying Salford fans there yesterday , a pretty encouraging number if you ask me.
Unfortunately three of the next four home games overlap with United games. Then Hull KR is on Cup Final day, but at least it’s in the morning.
If the attendances stay like yesterday’s for the next few games, and the club get through whatever short term financial problems we’ve got, the longer term forecast looks potentially good.
- Bigger teams coming later in the season should attract more of our occasional fans, more visiting fans, less competition with football. - Bigger crowds make better atmosphere- this encourages new fans, and especially younger fans to want to come back.
As for next year United should be in the Champions League, so the Thursday/ Sunday curse should be lifted. If we can get our core home support up to 5,000 - that plus visiting fans hopefully would give us hope of moving to a stable financial position.
