Yes, it’s really good that we now have a stable base rather than new squad every two years, which is what Rowley said he wanted. We now have some structures in place but need to develop these further as , in Rowleys words, ‘we have nobody coming thro’; but we’re moving slowly in the right direction.

We, however, have an ageing squad so generally more injuries but it does give Blease space to pick up good Championship players like Cross and up and coming players l8ke Longstaff rather than having to completely build a new squad. Presumably this year Lannon, Costello, maybe Wright etc can be moved on and space generated. The issue since Marwan left, is of course, funds…it seems we have a quota space and nothing to buy a player with…but since Rowley put his stamp on things we’re now surviving in a better way and moving forward. Good to see.

Be good, if Sarginson is playing the fool to move him on as well; great player but with a small squad, essential everyone plays their part. Wonder what the issue is.
