Funnily I was just musing about the number of pubs along Regent Road and how you got off the bus and bought shoes from the first shop you went in just the other day. The Ship represented the geographical limit of my early years and I think I only came to realise you didn't fall of the end of the earth after that was we had family who lived over that border.

When I started frequenting them in 1964 I have counted 18 from from the bottom of Regent Rd near the abbatior to Cross Lane I hope I haven't missed any.

Christmas drinks was tried quite a few times on the Turkey and think it only got of the ground once, much better to try and meet up before a game one time.

I'd be up for a few drinks with everyone. It would be nice to put a face to the name (except @michiganred - seen his mug before and its not a pretty sight!) haha!

But fair sadly Not sure I'd be able to make it this Christmas as oddly for me I have a busy social calendar, would love to all try and catch up before a game though, somewhere like Monton and grab a cab to the game?

Sounds good. I'll create a thread closer to the start of the season, maybe the Park Hotel in Monton?

Sounds good. I'll create a thread closer to the start of the season, maybe the Park Hotel in Monton? You been in since they've done it up? Mark my words there will be the biggest kick off known to man before long, they closed the front doors 10ish last Saturday night as they'd let that many people in and the natives were restless with all the hipsters taking regulars seats. And they have an Italian beer on at very VERY Un Holts like prices. Malt Dogs your place mate, good Belgium/Dutch/German beers.
