There's nothing so good as going under the radar and the doing good and running strong.

I've just tried to find odds for play-off places but can't see anything online. That for me is the odds to be checking out as personally I think we'll be in and around the top 6 again. I think Wakey/Leigh/HKR will be bottom 3 (in no particular order) and then you've got the likes of Wire & Hull who underachieved last season. Hull don't appear to have signed many players so I'd assume they'll look to rely on their pack bullying teams which didn't materialise much in 2022. Maybe Tony Smith will get the best out of what, on paper, is a play-off squad but the loss of Jake Connor will be massive for them. What Wire will come up with is anyone's guess but surely they can't be anywhere near as bad as last year. Cas I think will be mid-lower table as they don't appear to have strengthened their ageing pack that we took apart in the play-offs. I think this season will be a bit of a rebuild season for Catalans. If Tom Johnstone stays fit he'll be a decent shout for top try scorer but they've lost a number of players and with Rat Boy & MM a year older and even less effective I can't see them troubling the top 4 or 5 if I'm honest. So that leaves Saints, Wigan, Leeds & Hudds I think. Even with a new coach I think Saints will have too much for everyone else so will finish top. If Wigan can get T King & Wardle firing they'll be nailed on top 3 as no doubt they'll unearth another 2/3 first teamers from their never-ending production line. Leeds will make the play-offs but I think Austin & Sezer might hold them back as neither has impressed me recently. Looking forward to seeing how the likes of Newman and Gannon progress as they look like they could be top-class. Hudds again should be nailed on top 6 but we destroyed them in the play-offs and will Watson need to move away from his pragmatic approach to get the most out of his talented squad? Jake Connor might just be the key to that. Now I'm sure everything above will be proven to be utter bull$hit but I guess time will tell!😁 Either way I'm happy with our squad and confident the lads will do us proud again this season.
