Now I appreciate it doesn't take much but I've just seen an excellent picture of the Salford Academy team observing today's minutes silence.
There must 20+ of them in the picture, thought we'd abandoned the junior/academy side to save money?

I thought the same. Surely if the squad had been scrapped those lads would be at another professional club or would be back playing amateur trying to get signed again. Are they in Salford clothing in the picture? I'm clutching at straws here but could they just be having a get together as mates?

I'm sure Carvell said they were keeping U16s and another of the Unders teams, possibly that

Everything run by the foundation is still going. so as I understand it that's the u16s, the community club engagement, embed the pathway, future stars programme and 2 college eams (increased from 1)
The foundation is still funded - from fundraising and the RFL. It's the i19s that have had the plug pulled

It doesn't look like under 16's to me. If it is, what are they feeding kids these days? I think I can see Watson on the left, Bibby a few over to the right and Josh Wood near the centre.

I thought there were some first teamers on there but couldn't see well enough on the photo. My eyes aren't what they used to be!! Point about the youth structure still stands though
