Out for rest of the season with no decision. Made on extending contract to next season. As per Marshall pre match comments.
Personally, he's looked poor and takes a quota spot so it's a no from me

It's a tough one isn't it?
I think he has talent, it just needs nurturing out of him. He seems a little down on confidence and it's been a difficult transition for him I think, being young, traveling across the world and starting from scratch during a pandemic half way through a season. While he hasn't set the world alight, I think under the right circumstances he could be a decent player. Whether that's with us is another question. Maybe a pre-season and an influential partner in Croft might be what he needs to flourish. It's a big call, and he hasn't grasped the opportunities he's been given. Sport is ruthless, and I expect that Salford may consider the quota spot spent better elsewhere, and I'd be inclined to agree.
I don't think we have the luxury to have a project player taking up a quota spot, so it's a no from me.

Looked poor in every game I’ve seen him play in. Kicking game OK but you expect more from a international HB than that. He came from a reserve game team in Oz and that’s his level unfortunately. I thought he would be good back up but as has been said he’d be taking up a quota spot that could be used elsewhere. Definitely a no from me.

If rumours are true and we have Brierley signed up, so we'd have Croft, Atkin and Brierley in halves, with Ackers and youngsters Borugh and Aspey at 9 then I dont see where he fits in. Rather we spent the money on seasoned props.

Yes RMs policy of developing players seems to be working
When we lost most of our pack; Ika, Mossop, Greenwood, Pauli, Taylor I thought we were in for a drubbing each week, but Ormondroyd, Luckley etc have stood up to the plate. Be interesting to see how the team develops for next season. We do seem to need a couple of leaders though.

To my mind Ken Sio, Harvey Livett are clear favourites for our player of the year but think Ormondroyd and Atkin have really stepped up too.
As our front rowers next season seem to be Vunivayama, Akuala, Ormondroyd, Johnson, Burke and Luckley def think we need another experienced one and would like us to get Norman back in as well.

I’d give Player of the Year to the ever present workhorses; Burke, Williams.

I thought it was interesting the club wished Dan Norman a happy birthday through their social media accounts
My view on Ata is different to most. I think there is real potential. He’s not a running half back and he won’t take the line on much. He’s clearly very rusty. But he looks like he has the potential to get the team around the field, give the ball to the person in the right position, plays like an organiser, has a good short passing game and a decent kicking game.
Whether he can kick on I am not sure. If he’s got as good as he’s going to get then I’d agree about not keeping him. Him and Brown together (Leigh) was never going to but there’s been promise in his play with Tui and Atkin. With Tui in particular Ata does the boring stuff in the middle and allows Tui to do the Hollywood stuff on the edges.
Croft looks more like a running half when he’s at his best, as are Atkin and Brierley. We need an organising 7 for them to run off. Not totally sure if Ata is the right man but he’s got potential to be

We desperately need a top quality organiser at halfback because what I’ve seen of Croft he’s more of a running half. Will ATA give us this or do we need to look elsewhere for an experienced and proven general? At this level you can’t afford a rudderless ship with no direction otherwise 2022 will be a long hard season to endure. Evidence so far suggests to me that ATA could be a big gamble that the club desperately can’t afford to get wrong.

Many thanks
