Been a big critic of RM but I'm not afraid to hand out the compliments when he gets it right. spot on team selection today scored some cracking tries and looked more solid in defence on the whole, what a shame we can't afford sio next year been a quality player for us and I hope he goes on to be top scorer.
But today belongs to Marshall hope we can put that in again next week in Newcastle UTFR!

Having been critical of Marshall I have to hold my hands up and give credit for today. A very good performance particularly in the second half. Played some good rugby and the pack did well.
A shame though that Sio, Inu and Tui, who were all outstanding are unlikely to be in a red shirt next season.
A great day and long overdue day to be a Salford fan.
Any truth in the rumours Lee Briers is coming in next season as assistant?

Imagine that back line for a whole season and then add Calum Watkins as well. It’s the first time our first choice backs have played together and this result showed what they can do. The first half Salford stupidly went through the middle which is Hulls Strength. Second half out to the wings and look what happened. We lost another forward after 10 mins as well so full credit to the players who carried on driving and giving the platform. Hugely enjoyable day, keep it up for the last few games now and end the season on a high.

Couldn’t get to the match, who’s injured now?
Tui seemed to run the show but how did Hingano play?

Couldn’t get to the match, who’s injured now? Tui seemed to run the show but how did Hingano play? Ormondroyd took a fair knock to the head very early doors, didnt look great I’d be surprised to see him this weekend. Considering we missed him too the performance really was pretty amazing Tui has been really good, his attitude recently has surprised me. Hingano did ok, seemed to link in well with tui, tried a nice reverse kick for him which we almost scored from. Jury still out on him, must be difficult after being out for so long

Listened to Radio Humberside in Palma as Radio Manchesrer didn’t work, and I couldn’t believe that (a) We played like we did and (b) That the commentary was that biased towards Hull FC and that Alan Hunte must be in line for a job on Humberside with some of his comments, we scored seven tries and got little credit foe any and Hull FC had some players missing by the way. Up the Red Devils

Up the Red Devils No surprise. If we lose by 20-30 points the reporting is that we've been hammered/outclassed etc but when we win by a similar scoreline the other team is always depleted or has underperformed. You'll rarely read about a scintillating/dominant/fantastic performance from a Salford team. But I'd take 2 points over half-arsed compliments every day of the week.😁 As for yesterday, fantastic result. As soon as I saw the 2 teams line up I said "get the ball wide"!!! No chance we were going to batter them up the middle (exactly like Catalans) but they definitely have a distinct lack of pace on the wings, as do Catalans IMO. Not surprising that we've looked dangerous against both teams when we've put the ball through the hands. Players like Escare are experts at "crabbing" across the pitch looking to exploit the big men to find that half a yard of space to burst through. Cas "shouldn't" smash us down the middle so I have no problem mixing it in the forwards but I do think we need to play to our current strengths which is moving the ball from side to side. Watching Cas against Wigan yesterday they were unbelievably poor... and Wigan were barely any better. I'd expect a backlash from them next week but they've got weaknesses that can be exploited. Hopefully the team will gain a massive amount of confidence from yesterday and we can get a positive result at Magic. We'll need it with Wire & Saints left to finish the season!😂

First game I'd been to for a while for various reasons, since the Wakefield "home" game in Warrington (is the Hull KR home game due to be rearranged by the way?). Thoroughly enjoyed the match yesterday . At first I thought "here we go again" when we gave a penalty away on the first or second tackle of the whole match, but we were solid overall, and played some nice rugby once we clicked into gear in the second half. When's the last time we had a player score 4 tries for us - Sir Cliff Beverley against Gateshead maybe?! Hopefully we can produce a similar performance against Cas at the weekend, build a bit of momentum, and try to end the season on a high. Cas are certainly beatable!
