Seems an even second half even tho we played with 11 men for a quarter of it. Valiant was the word I read,a variation on gallant loser. You’re quite right,totally, but it doesn’t make me feel better |

Fair play to the Leeds Prop who stepped Atkin for his try. Moose should be under pressure for his place yet Marshall has his favourites and cannot believe Prior walked through our forwards. If fit not playing Sarge or Burgess tonight is beyond stupidity. We beat a Cas side full of kids and a bad Wakefield team that misfired, Leeds without Luke Gale and a couple of starting forwards smashed us, back down to earth with a bang. Our best players are needed for the next game, please take note Richard and determine a half back partnership that can actually be effective. |

Sadly said it would all be down to disapline and so it proved. I will drive tui down the motorway to Huddersfield myself. Think it's time to play players that want to be here and fight for the badge. It's been tough recently with a limited squad, but there was no excuses for such a lame ill disaplined first 40.i was listening to bbc Leeds and at one point he said "I've never known so many penalties and restarts in my life", says it all really.

Penalties and sun bins for talking back
Think I’ve seen 1 all season with games we’re involved in so to see 3 last night seems odd - wonder if the ref’s have been told to clamp down on it
That being said it did seem a little like the Thaler show at times
Onto the match , Livery’s non try seemed weird as it was a kick through , collected then spun out of tackles and grounded it - the in goal touch nodded to Thaler who then must have got a call from TJ to disallow as he was going to give it
At least we showed some fight in the second half especially down to 11 men too , Ata looked aggressive and wants to attack the line and bring other players in
Sarge hopefully back Thursday although I thought Escare looked out most likely player going forward as he tries to commit defenders to create space

So the big test came back as a failure. While I didn't expect a lot at Leeds (Literally the worst place for any Salford fan) the team failed the progress test by reverting back to how they played a month ago or more. A few key games coming up and I just hope this unlikeable Salford team can be bothered to keep our club in SL. I'm not sure they've got it in them to be honest. I can't say we've actually looked that great in the games we've won and the whole thing just looks a mess. I can't wait for the season to end frankly so we can reset and start again.

Since the season began I've found it hard to marry up the squad and the performances.
" can be bothered " is the perfect way to describe it. And some of our very much can be bothered players seem to have spent more time off the paddock than on it.
Ill discipline is at the forefront of the blame, I tend to think something else is there.

Don’t think it’s fair to say the team looked like they couldn’t be bothered last night. They all looked well up for it to me. Individually, most played well. Overall defence clearly needs to improve, as does discipline. Not excusing Tui but can see his frustration when Leeds got a penalty for what looked like great Salford defence.
Way more in attack than we ever managed against Leeds at home. Livett unlucky to get a try pulled for offside, thought Escare should have stepped Myler and scored.
After Ata came on the attack looked lively.
Never thought we would win this game but probably deserved a closer score line.

I’ve been to Leeds many times and seen worse performances than last nights.
Discipline is still appalling and the two sin bins gifted Leeds two try’s.
Ata liked good when he came on and those still having a go at Escare should realise that a lot of times he is our only attacking outlet.
Moose should not play again, he is finished and Sarginson back in the centres next game.
