He had a very good game. It was a rare event as Dave Woods referred to the winner as Salfords Niall Evalds.

Niall Evalds got the Lance Todd Trophy,rare for someone on the losing side.Did anyone see the game because I am afraid I missed it Niall thoroughly deserved the Lance Todd Trophy for his performance, the interview that he gave at the end showed just what a decent person he is. The match itself was I’m my opinion very good and considering the heat, all the players on both sides gave 100 per cent in very difficult conditions. Castleford were the better team for a period but Saints came back and took control in the later stages. The BBC coverage and their commentary team showed Sky how it should be done,Dave Woods obviously loves the game and it shows just how he reports what is happening on the pitch as he sees it. |
