Sarge Burgess Sio Davies Williams Tui Atkin Mossop Patton Burke Greenwood Livett Taylor Ika, Ackers, Luckley, Wells Depends on Tui's attitude and the name of the ref. Wonder if Livett could still play stand off if Tui still being a prima donna If Tui does get dropped could we be looking at Escare playing at 6 with Patton or Atkin? Fairly certain he has played there for Catalans and you'd think he would bring some elusive running to the halves. Agree that Livett could slot in there as well though if not. Prefer Ackers and Atkin to be primarily 9.

Putting Escaré at 6 would be like giving a terrorist a sub machine gun

I’ll be there , I’ve watched us for long enough to remember worse sides
What’s frustrating is that player / name wise we’ve got a strong side but we’re just not clicking and don’t seem to be able to ride out bad spells - we were ok v Wigan and Cas
I think we’re massively short on confidence, playing a lot of back up players so hope we can get players like Sarge , Costello maybe Addy , Greenwood , Ormonroyd back

Putting Escaré at 6 would be like giving a terrorist a sub machine gun I gave you a like instead of a sorry matey. Escare. He is a trier whereas Tui isn`t interested in Salford. His drop out `neath the sticks showed his mindset. He should NOT play against Huddersfield. Escare seems to have a large number of detractors yet we have seen him play brilliantly in the past and he is obviously short of confidence - like the rest of us. Remember in about 180 SL matches he has scored 90 tries which is quite a stat. Don`t write him off.

Tui is done. He is off to Hudds. He shouldn’t play again. Let him be the water carrier for the rest of the season.

earlybath I agree re Escaré but I’d leave him at full back and worry about the ones in front of him As Arthur Gregory once said, when asked what it was like to be full back after Saints put 59 past us, ‘like being stood outside the front of Woolworths on a Saturday coming at you from all angles’ Like blaming the goalie for a 7-0

If he can be loaned out, all the better. But why should he stay (reasonably) match fit at our expense?

I can only go on what I read on here, but it sounds like Tui is a dead weight on the team and if we play him, it's like playing with a ball-and-chain tied to our ankle. We've got to do the best for the club and that means leaving him out of the team.

He's got size (maybe a bit too much!), pace, great footwork and he's elusive. He offers a running threat that Patton & Brown don't have and Atkin is more a support player. Don't get me wrong, he's very hit and miss but he's almost unplayable when "on it". Unless we can get someone in to replace him then we really can't afford to just leave him out (unless there really is an issue with his attitude etc). As an opposing player would you rather have to deal with Tui, Patton, Atkin or Brown?

Like you I don't have a definitive answer to the problem we have got.But leaving one player on the sidelines will not solve it either in my opinion.Their are people on this forum saying the squad is good enough, the only answer is to get someone in who can prove them right. But I am not having it that basically sending one man to Coventry will turn this around. From what I have seen so far this season, their should be a few more going with him.

I'd prefer an expensive water carrier to one who doesn't really want to play for the club any more and is just barely going through the motions on the field. Ideally, it would be better if he was out of the club completely as he obviously has no commitment to the club whatsoever now.
However, I also don't want Huddersfield to get him early so send him to a club in the lower divisions... half a season playing for West Wales seems a fit punishment

Somebody has to get Tui onside whether it's arm round him, bollocking or whatever. He's v talented but he's probably as fed up as we are with the team's performance. And I can't see anybody who's around to replace him.
I also think with the way he plays he'd be better at full back😩 as he's in the Connor, Tomkins mould and could be allowed to play with freedom. Although BR will be stood on the pitch with Escare nailed by his side in the No 1 spot. 😉
So our spine is crocked and Atkins with Ackers have to become the people guiding the Club round the field. We're in a sort of Littlejohn situation with no general around to lead the team, so Marwan / Blease another Hastings?
Probably RM came in with a system too advanced for our present situation and it may be time for 5 barges then a kick or a simple passing movement.
